In Riva al Lago

Our room was a quadruple with own facilities. Room was large. Great location right at lake and very convenient for everywhere. Owner was friendly and helpful. Como is very beautiful.

Very close to the lake. Bed was comfortable, shower & bathroom were clean & just the right size. The largest bath towels I’ve ever seen! No views from the room but I was only sleeping there. I would stay there again, can’t beat it for the price! Restaurants galore right outside the door!

This clean and convenient hotel has a great location in Como, close to a bus stop, 1 block from the lake and a 15 minute walk from the Como S. Giovanni Train Station. The funicular to the top of the nearby mountain is a 5 minute walk as well. The host is super helpful - he helped us plan a day trip to Venezza and Bellagio using public ferries and a bus back to the hotel. This worked out much better than the ferry passed we thought we would need - it coast less and took less time to get back to Como from Bellagio. There is a great buffet breakfast included and a casual restaurant right in the hotel. There are also multiple eateries (both fancy waterfront restaurants and inexpensive take out places) within steps of the door. Como is a pretty and unpretentious town - a mix of old and new, and a convenient base for visiting the lake towns and easier to get to from Milan than the towns to the north. The room for 4 people was clean and pretty quiet (except for the guests who sometimes let their door slam - can't blame the hotel for that). We would recommend this hotel for families or couples who do not want to pay the higher prices in the fancier resort towns.

Tremendous service and a breakfast unlike I have ever had at a hotel. Fresh fruit, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, etc. It was tremendous. Close walk to everything Como has to offer. Great hotel

Good breakfast with many options and very comfortable pillows and beds

The room was clean and comfortable (although not very large). There is no lift, but it was worth the climb to the top (third) floor for the end room with a partial view of Lake Como. The breakfast buffet array was truly amazing! A casual dinner in the restaurant downstairs was very good value for money.

I can't remember when booking it stating it was a hostel, but this place is not for holiday makers. It is in a convenient location and is 2 minutes walk away from the lake which is beautiful. The hostel itself is clean enough, and suited us for one night, but I would not want to stay any longer than that!
