"Gorgeous little hotel"

10.0

The place is a little hard to find but well worth it. A little oasis nestled in amongst the big buildings around it. Its a little old fashioned but very comfortable with large rooms. Has good parking on site hut does not have an elevator so be prepared! Very close to the centre of town!

"Nice.10 min walk to beach and 30 min to old town."

6.0

Check in smooth but not shown to room. Spacious room but en suite very dated, good sized terrace. Dressing gowns arrived on final night. Breakfast very average, tables dirty. Pool area nice but not kept tidy. This hotel is definitely a work in progress.

"Beware, this is a 2 star hotel! "

4.0

This is a 2 star hotel with dated, hostel style rooms. The bathroom was dirty and the room had old mismatched furniture. All I could see was rubble from outside the window. There was no breakfast and they didn't even have a bottle of water anywhere in the hotel. I wouldn't describe this as a hotel, more a hostel...

"Not bad"

6.0

We just spent two nights here. Big bonus is that you can drive your car straight to the door and park, un heard of in France and no additional fee. Rooms where average, small bed, no amenities but staff were good If your looking for a cheap hotel in Nice then this is a good option, about 4 streets back from the main beach boulevard.

"Good location but unplesant"

4.0

This hotel has a nice lobby and stairwell but the rooms are very disappointing. The washroom had lots of peeling paint, the carpets smelled musty and looked dirty. The rooms were cleaned by staff but they cannot look clean in their condition. The front desk was not helpful and the manager was impossible to contact. I would not recommend this hotel. It was the worse one we stayed in in our 2 1/2 week European trip. The online pictures do not match the hotels actual condition.

"Good but..."

6.0

The view from the standard room bedroom is into the hotel bins/dump. No net curtains or blinds at the windows so had to keep the curtains closed an ask reception to hang a table cloth at the bathroom window. A stain on the bed cover suggested and a rubber undersheet on the bed was not very pleasant.

"Charming old building and grounds"

10.0

Great place for anyone who wants something different from a cookie-cutter hotel. The woman who serves as your host speaks great English and is available to help you in any way. Location is close to important parts of town and is very quiet. Parking is free. My wife and I thoroughly were glad we booked this hotel. (We stayed in Rm. 23 which even had 2 separate sinks.) There is a wonderful Italian restaurant called Davisto within walking distance of about 10 minutes on 17, rue Saint Philippe. I would say it was the best meal we had in nearly 3 weeks in France. The hotel host will tell you how to get there.

"A hidden treasure with wonderful gardens"

10.0

James and I had a fantastic time at the Armenonville. This was our second holiday in Nice and we were looking for a hotel a little more central (last time we stayed near the train station) and Armenonville was perfect. We received a warm welcome and exemplary service from Rita, the owner; nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself is stunning, as you walk up to it. Our double room was spacious and had a balcony where we could look over the wonderful gardens of the hotel and take breakfast. The cleanliness was spotless. The hotel appealed very much to us as it gave a wonderful, true reflection of France and was 'boho chic', full of character. We felt very safe and secure as the hotel has gates and is locked at night, etc... The hotel is about 10 mins walk to the promenade and beach, and is close to Hotel Negresco. There is also a great garden/park about a 2 min stroll away. The main road you walk down goes straight to the big shopping centre. We loved it and would stay again.
