Hotel Felix Beach

I walked into the room and it resembled a flop house. The shower was dirty, the floors were coming apart, carpet was torn and molding missing. There is no lift and the stairs are dangerous. We didn't stay, we advised the clerk that our room was dirty and he shrugged his shoulders and said we pre paid-no refunds. We went just down the street and for 40 euros more slept in a clean and comfortable room . Don't even consider this place it is a dump.

This is a basic hotel but suited us for its location and price. We were on the top floor and double glazing, tea making facilities, balcony and air con is a good deal. Clean but basic. Its a hike to the top floor up 4 flights. The aircon was noisy but good. Room small. We were two guys and enjoyed the fact its right on the main pedestrian drag.

Stayed in this Hotel...oh what a mistake...everything was none existent,our rooms were on the top floor 5flights up no lift,the room was grubby and hadn't been cleaned ....the decor was appalling,no were to sit ,a plastic table and an old wooden one in the corner....the bath room was dirty the tap was almost comming out of the sink if that's what you can call it....the shower itself was iffy and so was the shower curtain,the electrics were boardering on dangerous,the TVs was like a postage stamp,lights didn't work ,the balcony if that's what you could call it was dangerous,the dinning room was a joke more than 3 people and it would have been cramped....the garden was a balcony with one table 2 chairs and an ashtray full of fag ends....you had to order the breakfast the night before,for 10euros no way we went outside and for 6.20 euros had a good breakfast......al in all the staff were no existent and so was everything else......fantastic location and cheap,but no need for that sort of couldn't care less attitude......think twice before you book☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

The lively pedestrian zone Rue Massena is a wonderful area just a few minutes walk to the beach. Hotel Felix is half the price of many hotels in the area. It is comfortable and a great value for the price. Rooms are "worn" but fine for the traveler who is looking to be economical in an otherwise pricey area.

Great location, very helpful staff

Great location in the center, charming building with typical french balcony, it was really unique place to stay, the beach is close food places just a few steps away, but the room we stayed in needs deep cleaning and some updates, its an old building can't expect much.

First of all, let me say I enjoyed my short stay at Hotel Felix. When I return to Nice, I will happily look it up and use it again. It's cheap, has a kind of charm, the staff were nice, great location, clean and a big plus is a 24/7 "reception" for late night check in's etc. The hotel seems to be aiming for shabby chic, with its paint washed wall effect and weathered shutters; but in all honesty it’s more shabby. Dints out of the walls in the small room (not enough space to pass by your partner around the bed). Curtains with no liner so the first sign of sun light and the room is lit up – not that the liner would make much difference as the curtain didn’t fit the windows anyway, so there’s a large gap. Obvious signs of water damage around the window. Cables hanging everywhere, including the bathroom. A crack in the sink which meant if you filled it, it ran water over your feet. All put a smile on my face. However, nothing that’s a show stopper and really we just needed a bed to crash into and a shower with hot water in the mornings and for it to be clean in which case it ticked those boxes. The location is great, entrance is right opposite one of the more popular restaurants (we arrived at 11:30pm, checked in and went to eat at it – people were still arriving gone 1am) and there’s a good buzz to the area. Near one of the airport shuttle bus stops. Near to the beach and a 10 minute walk to the old town. We had a room at the back, and it was nice and quiet. If you’re a bit sensitive, complain at the smallest thing and expect a lot from your hotel, then I wouldn’t recommend here; otherwise it’s great.

It may be bang in the middle of Nice, but the rooms are very basic, not clean enough and it's noisy. Yes, it's only a 2*, but 2* can be good in France. Not this one. Had booked for 3 nights, but left after one.

I've been at the Felix Hotel many times and it's always a pleasure to come back for a short break.

Stayed at this Hotel In June 2016 , its very basic but in a Great location within easy walking distance to the Beach, Although its in a busy Restaurant area our room was extremely quiet, Would definitely stay here again.
