Hôtel La Résidence Lyon

OK location, but the hotel and the room were a little shoddy. The oddest thing was to have the toilet in one room, then the fawcetts bath and shower in another on a different side of the main room. Not far from Place Bellacour, which is nice, but the Rue Victor Hugo just seems a little unfriendly.

It may seems a little thing but I would have liked some regular tissue instead of just toilet paper. And I only figured out how to rise the volume on the remote for the TV the day before I quit. But I guess it's me, being not too acustomised to that remote

Great location for shopping and tourist walking.

Nice large room with a wonderful bathtub and double sinks in the bathroom Hotel is on a street with shopping and walking distance to a few restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Did not eat the breakfast so can’t comment. I would recommend this hotel but if you have time take the hop on hop off bus to see other areas of Lyon that have nicer shopping and to view all the sites.

This is a great hotel for location in central Lyon. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby and a short stroll to the river or up to the Basilica. Breakfast is a little basic but that's reflected in the price. For a work trip it was just what was needed.

Perfect location. Parking a little tricky if you have a car.

Excellent location on Victor Hugo (one of the main commercial pedestrian zones) just seconds away from Place Bellecour and minutes from old city, best place to stay if you are planning to walk and explore the city on foot. We took a quad room, that was apparently recently renewed, everything was recent, bathrooms were fully renewed and the furniture was modern (there are a few classical rooms according to the hotel staff). The staff is very nice, welcoming and helpful, we were given our room 2 hours before check-in time (thankfully it was available), of course they also give you the possibility to leave your luggage in a locked room on departure day should you still need to wander around. Rooms are cleaning, cleaning service is efficient and rooms are pretty well soundproofed, we had a nice balcony with direct view on the Victor Hugo street, without being bored by the outside noise. Breakfast is available for 10€, but we have not tried it, reception is available 24/7, and usually the hotel prices are more competitive than anything you can find on other booking websites. I highly recommend for a trip in Lyon (and I also recommand to anybody who hasn't been there to visit Lyon)

Ok for one night, but if you’re picky about cleanliness and overall condition this might not be the best choice.

This is our second time staying here. It's a great location, service is great and a great value compared to other locations. This time we tried breakfast, it was very nice too.

Very centrally located with good access to the metro and other means of transportation. The road outside usually didn't have vehicles so was good for walking and taking a stroll. The room was spacious with a good shower and other facilities.
