Hôtel La Résidence Lyon

Our room wasn’t available when we returned during our second night due to a leak from the air conditioner being repaired. We were told we could still access the room, but this wasn’t actually possible because the entrance was blocked by workers and equipment. The manager told us the work would be done in an hour and offered 50 Euro for compensation, but after returning later the room still was not accessible. The manager now tells us that we said the room would be available in an hour, not him! A request for another room was denied. The manager was now vague about when we’d actually be able to get back into our room. Our displeasure and complaint was met with a threat by him to call the police???!!! The manager then threw us out. A refund was made (he threw the cash at us), but tried to short change us. Terrible service from this hotel, don’t risk having a problem handled like ours, avoid this place!

Pricey, but beautiful view.

The hotel was centrally located in the heart of Lyon, everything was walking distance, many shops and restaurants are just downstairs. The hotel room was nice inside, AC worked really well. The hallway smelled like smoked and the stairway was dirty. The shower was very small, better just removing the door and put a shower curtain. The glass door would open leaving water in the bathroom. Aside from those issues, I would stay here again.

The perfect location for exploring Lyon. The hotel is dated, but clean and very comfortable. The staff at reception are very helpful.

This property was clean and comfortable and in an excellent location. We were close to the transport links and able to walk to most places. The room was not completely as it was in the photos, but we were very happy anyway.

Centrally located hotel in pedestrian street near Place Bellecour. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Walking distance from old town and many restaurants and rail transport. Would stay again. Large room , good value

It was lovely to stay in a property with character in the very centre of Lyon. The room had air-conditioning. The downside was no bar or restaurant (except for breakfast), no porterage and the TV only had French channels.

The neighborhood had a lot of graffiti on the walls and trash on the streets. The hotel is not the main picture. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean.

Cute little room, awesome location. Beautiful city, amazing food and drink. Metro is a short walk away, several bakeries nearby. Overlooks a fairly quiet, vehicle free street.
