"Not your usual 4 star"

6.0

Generally ok. Compared to other 4 star hotels we have stayed at, this is not a 4 star of the same standard. The rooms are small and could do with some updating and soundproofing! The dining room is very cramped! You are practically sat on the table next to you, there is no space in between. There isn't a huge variety of food options, especially if you are vegetarian. The staff however, in all departments, are all very helpful and pleasant.

"Hotel was Ok"

6.0

The H10 in Salou is an ok hotel, average I would say, there are some good areas and some negatives. The negatives, the room we had was street view which was fine but was quite dated and could do with a refurb. The pool area is quite cramped and a lot of sunbeds are crammed in to a small area, there is also the perennial issue of selfish guests reserving sunbeds and then not using them for hours on end. Food - I've stayed in a few H10 hotels in the Canary Islands but the food here was by far the worst aspect, the Breakfast was poor, we only used in twice in 2 weeks, the scrambled egg was powdered and was borderline green, very stale looking, bacon I like crispy, here it was barely cooked, very pale. Positives - Hotel was very clean, staff were nice, prices at pool bar were good but the best aspect was the location which was very good. The hotel has some good restaurants on its doorstep, Olivers, Chinese, No Pasa Nada Pizza, Grapevine, La Dolce Vita, Taste of India amongst the best, avoid Roadhouse (very poor). Would I come to Salou again, probably not, I much prefer Cambrils but we had a good 2 weeks and Salou is much more suited to families than people looking for a relaxed vibe.

"Good experience"

10.0

Currently staying at the H10 Princess Salou with the wife and overall we’ve had a very enjoyable experience. The food offers a good variety throughout the stay. It’s not Michelin-star standard, but that’s not what you would expect from this type of hotel. The selection was extensive, the quality was consistently good, and there was something to suit most tastes. The hotel itself was very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A special mention should go to both the restaurant team and the front desk staff, who were professional, hardworking, and always willing to help. The location is another major plus. It’s only a short walk to the beach and is conveniently situated close to supermarkets, bars, shops, and other local amenities, making it an excellent base for exploring Salou. The only slight downside was breakfast. Due to the large number of guests, it can feel more like an airport check-in than a relaxed breakfast experience, particularly during peak times. That said, the staff deserve great credit for how efficiently they manage the volume of people, keeping tables turning over and the food well stocked. Overall, a clean, well-located hotel with good food, excellent staff, and very good value for money. I would happily recommend it and would consider staying again.

10.0

Second time staying in this hotel. It’s an amazing hotel, clean, great staff and good food. The legends bar attached is a nice lively spot with entertainment. The barman Carlos is a treasure as is the Mr Bean look alike (sorry I don’t know his name) We will be back

"Salou Princess Hotel."

10.0

Check in very good & fast. Staff in all areas very friendly. Bar staff 5* although Pol must have left as nowhere to be seen this year. Pol was always ready to help you & even advise you where to go for a walk. Sadly missed this year. Food good for all meals. Great location.

"All in all it was a great holiday and the family had a good time."

8.0

This is a good value for money family friendly hotel. Certain rooms have been upgraded. It is the second year we have been back to this hotel and the room we had this year, has been renovated compared with the room we had last year. All in all we had five rooms and were a large group and the location of the hotel allows us to cater to all the different ages of the kids, ranging from new born to 20 years old, It was a lovely stay and the buffet catered for all our tastes and is very good value for money.

We booked two family rooms with a pool view, the one faced the main pool, yet the other faced the neigbouring hotel's pool, which was closed as well as the hotel rubbish bins were below the room. In the heat making it not so great to be on the balcony. So two rooms , same price , but not remotely the same category or quality as the bathroom was also smaller. The kiddies entertainment was not as good as last year and despite it being very warm, was done in the lobby of the hotel instead of on the stage at the pool area. This made it unbearbly loud when the bands played in the small enclosed space and one was forced to sit inside with the kids for the kids entertainment instead of being able to enjoy a drink outside. This did make the evenings stressful and our group ended up splitting up most nights as not everyone wanted to sit inside when one could sit outside on a cool evening after a hot day. We were 13 people and we could not sit at one big table for meal times, we were always split which is also not great and one should easily be able to reserve a table for such a big group at a particular time e.g as soon as the restaurante opens as the table and seats are flexiable and they then easily be arranged back for other guests.
