The Victoria Hotel & Source Spa

The Victoria is a well-oiled machine, particularly in the Jubilee Restaurant, The managers and waiters constantly roam the room taking away empty plates and making sure your order is accurate. It was lovely to see the young staff joking with the managers, and the managers asking a passing waitress if she was alright, practical examples of 'duty of care'. There was a lot of laughter and the staff seem to like each other. The bedroom windows actually open so you do not have to endure the awful air conditioning that you experience in many hotels. A real plus was the Rolls Royce service into Sidmouth town and back, and the chauffeur, Andy, even wears the hat. Thinking of rebooking another Winter Break for next year...

70th birthday. Room very small, bathroom black mold, staff extremely rude, told myself and wife to move from our sofa to a seat for 2 because there was a party of 20 .were charged for hot water to fill our tea pot never will we go to sidmouth and stay at that hotel again I believe it is a Brent hotel chain. So beware!!!!!!!

Firstly big thank you to all the staff who were amazingly most helpful at all times. Our room looked straight out to sea, the room was a good size with fresh bedding and towels . Lots of toiletries. The menu was quite variable.

Lovely room and breakfast was good. Hotel beautiful and location excellent. Really enjoyed the spa treatment we had with Sadie. She was very knowledgeable and gave a personalised massage after a consultation about my specific health issues.

The hotel is very traditional but it also mixes some modern aspects; The spa facilities are just brilliant. The Dinner was excellent and breakfast was great, and hot. Every staff there was courteous, service was impeccable. Very spacious room with a great view. The room was maybe a bit too hot for me but opening the window a bit was no hardship. On the whole, an excellent stay, very relaxing.

Wonderful hotel. High standards of cleanliness, service, food. Perfect location right near the beach but slightly raised so having a wonderful view of the sea and coast. Beautiful classic décor, stylish drapes, gorgeous fresh flower displays everywhere, tasteful wallpapers and soft furnishings. Fun evening entertainments on offer for those who wanted them but which weren’t dominating or intrusive for those who didn’t. Fab outdoor pool and spa with jacuzzi, sauna, steam room. We had a massage which was superb and very relaxing. Would go again and stay there at the drop of a hat.
