H10 Salauris Palace

Travelled with 6 other family members. Arrived at hotel around 10.30am, check in was quick and easy. Rooms weren't ready, which was to be expected, so was able to leave our luggage in a room until our rooms were ready. There was a very strong smell of urine in the luggage room and there was only 2 toilets and a shower room to get changed in if needed, all of which were dirty and also smelt strongly of urine. This was very unsettling as a first impression, especially as the room was locked and not accessible to public and only 10.30am, dread to think what it was like later on. The pool area was very clean and well maintained. Theres a smoking area at the back of the entertainment stage. Theres a bar and a snack bar at opposite ends of the pool. The inside bar is clean and spacious with 3 pool tables. The main entrance was also clean and smelt lovely. We had 3 double rooms booked all were on the 5th floor overlooking the road and all had air con. 1 room had 3 people in so an an extra bed was put in but was still big enough for 3 people. Unfortunately the room was not upto 4* standard. When we first entered the room I noticed the top sheet on one of the beds was dirty, the wardrobe doors had fingerprints and smudges on them, the chair by the dresser had tea/coffee spilt down it and both bedside tables were very dusty. We also noted on first entry that there were hundreds of tiny black bugs on the dresser top and on the wall behind the dresser. This being my first time abroad i thought it was normal until i asked other family members if they had any in their rooms, which they did not! I found the source of attraction to the bugs which was mouldy food on the top of the skirting board behind the dresser aswell as food remnants and crumbs on the floor. The room had supposedly been cleaned before we went in!! The bathroom was ok but looked tired and in need of new taps and shower. Unfortunately the toilet basin was brown and hadnt been cleaned. Shampoo and shower gel are provided aswell as dental kits, combs, hairdryer and towels. I work in hospitality as a housekeeper and cleanliness and attention to detail are a must, especially in a 4* hotel!! I also found it strange that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in a 4* hotel but luckily i had bought my own supplies. The bedding was not changed the whole time we were there which i find unreasonable for a 7 night stay.. The rooms are not sound proof and you can hear everything that neighbouring rooms are doing or saying. During our stay there were children running up and down the corridor and being generally noisy from midnight onwards most nights. My daughter complained about the noise to reception several times as she was kept awake til 3am most nights. She even asked if she could possibly move to a different room to be told NO!! She has since left a review and mentioned about the noise and complaint. The hotel response is that there is no record of her making any complaint about noise but if she had of made the aware, (which she did because i was with her) they would have sorted the problem. She has basically called a liar!! Food was not good - we were half board and ate out 4 nights out of 7 due to the food on offer looking like slop unless you wanted to eat dry fruit or salad every night!! The childrens section mainly consisted of chips, pasta and tomato sauce most nights. Maybe offer sausage, burger, chicken nuggets along side of the pasta and chips. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. Only thing missing was mushrooms. Some staff were lovely some were extremely rude. Restaurant staff were nice but it would be better if they didnt whip your plate away as you take your last mouthful!! Location is great - 15/20 min walk to Portaventura and 10/15 min walk to main strip and beach. Even though our rooms overlooked the road there isnt any road noise once the balcony door is closed. Salou is a beautiful place but if you want 4* standard i would suggest staying elsewhere.

La douche dans une baignoire . Difficultés ++ pour enjamber et ressortir de la baignoire.

Literie horrible..... L'insonorisation également, ça n'a pas été un séjour reposant .... Et le ménage.... malgré mes remontées rien n'a été corrigé.... l'odeur des canalisations.... A peine arrivé, notre chamabre remplie de poussières au sol ... des paquets de gâteux en dessous du lit et tout le séjour ça n'a pas été nettoyé....... Les repas non variés également

La chambre et les services associés

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille. L'hôtel est au top à tous niveaux, propre, le personnel est souriant et agréable, les chambres sont spacieuses avec vue sur piscine pour nous, le buffet est plus que parfait (beaucoup de choix et très bon), les équipements de l'hôtel sont super (3 piscines, 1 jacuzzi, sauna, hammam, salle de sport, animation.... que demander de plus !) vous pouvez même réserver des soins (massage, soins esthétiques...) !

Durante mi estancia en la cafetería del hotel solicité una pizza, la cual me fue servida en un estado claramente inadecuado para su consumo, presentando un exceso de cocción que afectaba a su calidad. Asimismo, pese a haber solicitado expresamente un plato para poder consumirla de forma adecuada en las instalaciones de la cafetería, este no me fue facilitado, entregándome la pizza directamente en su caja de cartón. Considero que este tipo de atención y presentación del servicio no se corresponde con los estándares de calidad, atención al cliente e imagen que cabe esperar de un establecimiento hotelero de cuatro estrellas, por lo que agradecería que se revisaran estos procedimientos para evitar que situaciones similares vuelvan a producirse.
