"One happy customer "

8.0

I’m a big fan of cheap and cheerful accommodations in prime locations because they allow us, who don’t like to pay the premium price tags, the opportunity to enjoy the locations equally (without having to share any facilities with other guests). Hotel Aristote is one that fits the bill. It is located 10 minutes light walk from Gare du Midi and further 10 minutes to Grand Place. Stayed 3 nights in single room, en-suite, for 140 euros. Arrived late in the evening with Eurostar and check in took around a minute, was allocated a room on 4th floor overlooking the main road with the statue and roundabout. Can’t fault it, amazing. Everything in the room worked well, bed comfortable, tv had quite a few English speaking channels and shower pretty good. Room, however small, could have been arranged better to create more space. Security was good and premises locked during the night. Adjoining restaurant seemed popular but closed early. Despite being in the middle of ‘everything’, it was really calm and quiet during the night. I would definitely stay here again, but only solo as I’m not sure me and my partner could cope with such a small space together...

"The right place to visit Bruxelles"

4.0

I visited Bruxelles for two days and I picked up this hotel, based on the position. It was the right choice: it's really close to the centre and to the main stations, Midi and Central (both at 10 minutes walking). The hotel is linked to an good looking italian restaurant and in the nearby there are two nice cafè, very useful for having a beer or else. Everyone in the staff is very kind and I have nothing to complain about their treatment. Although, I can't honestly advise it if you're looking for more than a place to rest: my room had several problems that didn't make it impossibile to stay and sleep, but didn't make it a good room either. Bed base, crooked lamps, power outlet not fixed to the wall, broken tiles in the bathroom... Not a nice room, but perfect if you don't have any claims. The price is fair only according to the location.

"Stay away"

2.0

Shower was broken; bed was a block without the proper sheets and no proper duvet. WiFi was poor, lights in corridor not great. Plus side was a10 minute walk into city centre, apart from that nothing much to write home about

"Stay away!!!!!!! "

2.0

The worst hotel i've ever been! There is a minimum to be called hotel. I try to find something positive but i couldn't. I recommend you to stay in a hostel or backpacker than at this hotel. Beds are broken, no soap, the wardrobe is broken, bulb with no protection and dangerous.

"Nice location and thats about it.."

4.0

Nice location, but overpriced even for Brussels. Terrible rooms and walls thin as paper, so everything happening in next room seems happening inside your room. Everything falling apart. Only cash accepted. Nice staff though and theres heater in the room.

"Bad stay"

2.0

Loacted in the street having a lot of bars is the only consolation. Staff does not speak English. Looks a run down hotel. Needs renovation. Rooms are small. Cots and beddings etc are very old. No coffee maker in room. The auto lights just blink and go off fast and then one is standing in the dark till the lift comes. Absolutely avoidable hotel.

"Not imressed"

6.0

The Hotel is close to Brussels Midi so handy for the Eurostar. I went for the low price instead of checking further. Upon entering I was served by friendly staff but things went downhill from here The lift only big enough for myself and baggage opened out onto an unlit corridor so I had to call the lift back for light then dash for the Rooms door. Once into the second corridor I found my room and found I needed to use the room lights as there was no natural light due to the lack of windows. In one corner was a small curtained window which opened out onto a set of stairs. Underneath my room seemed to be a café which produced a large amount of noise and aroma's Having a shower gave one a chance to study the fungus. Black, yellow and green growths around the bath were not very inviting.

"A beautiful city almost ruined by a terrible hotel"

4.0

Lets start with the fact this hotel is on a major road, there is no AC so you have to open your window which means every loud sound possible, sleep was nearly impossible. Throughout the night the sounds of cars, loud conversation, cafes, parties, yelling, laughing and it never stopped! The beds felt like torture devices, assuming you could ignore the stains on nearly every surface. This is a cash only place so be prepared to have all of the cash for your stay.
