Hotel Aristote

Near Grand Place. Near the subway station Anessen. Clean, bath in the room, warm. Disadvantages: small room, very small window and towards the inside wall, dark, low illuminated and without natural light.

Be prepared for the most minimum conditions you could anticipate Mildew and rust were present and very little hot water Very noisy area, drunks out well after 2am

Stayed for 1 Night and did not expect anything, since the stay was very cheap. I am satisfied but dont expect to get more than You pay for. Breakfast was fine, and the hotel is very near to the center.

a terrible experience started with - no room card, but a key only and need to hand in to the receptionist when going out. - no door lock for the sleeping room and we could only place a chair at the back of the door, in case anyone suddenly came in that we could be alerted. - window without a curtain inside the toilet, ladies felt insecure when bathing. - the auto light at the corridor (outside the lift) last few seconds only and sometimes we were waiting for the lift in the dark. - stayed on top floor of the hotel, men didn't stand straight because of the floor ceiling is too low or the roof top was tilted.

They were fairly disorganized. Room wasn't ready when we arrived. Our key got lost. They made a big deal that we didn't request breakfast, but never mentioned we needed to request it. Good location though.

SO disappointing. We were looking for a budget hotel, but I would rather pay a few extra euros and stay at a decent hotel than stay here again. The heat did not work for the first few hours, two windows in our room did not shut-- and it was raining, so we had a puddle in the bathroom! The door handle to the bathroom would fall off almost every time you would open and close it. The room locked, but you had to use the key on the INSIDE of the door to even get out! The room was super small, which is fine, but about half of the room has a slanted ceiling, so we could not stand up in that part. There was a used soap bar left in the shower and a layer of dust on the light. Overall, very dirty feeling, and very frustrating.

Staffs are not taking customers to the room to show the facilities.

The location was comfortable - it was only 15mns away from the railway station. Opposite the hotel there were a few restaurants as well where one could eat, this was especially useful on the first night. Staff was very friendly, even informing us that there would be a bus strike the next day, and chatted with us about how unusual it was for Brussels to have a strike. The pillows were quite soft - to a point where you had to stack them on top of each other to get your head to a level which makes sense, and we had a room overlooking the street, which means that there was constantly some sort of noise coming throughout the night and into the early morning (ex. people shouting outside, workers who were blowing away leaves in the morning). The wifi also left a lot to be desired, with the internet struggling to let us perform basic things. So definitely don't think you'll be doing any work here (be that a good thing or a bad thing).

Absolutely disgraceful hotel! Disgusting rooms! It literally is a 2 star for a reason but really shouldn’t be any star. Absolutely horrible. The beds were like concrete slabs. No lights on the floors. The price for the night of stay was absolutely extortionate for what it was. It should of been a quarter of it! It was cheap anyway but it should not be the cost it was! Other hotel stayers clearly have no respect for others! Banging at stupid o’clock at night, shouting at the top of their voices, music on full blast! Literally a hostel or a homeless shelter! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!! - how ever I don’t really rate Brussels either. Complete dive. - however, The Hotel Marivaux is a different story! Absolutely beautiful!! See my images.

The bed is a rock in this room. The room was small and included literally only a bed and bathroom. Good place for staying on the cheap. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
