"One night stay"

6.0

Since it was a casual trip and was planned at the last minute, we settled down with this hotel. It is an average hotel and the rooms were comfortable and clean. It is located near the center of the town. Within 10 min, you can reach the center of Brussels by feet. At first, the way to our room seemed a bit creepy as the hotel is in an old building but the room was very calm and we had a good night's sleep. The receptionist was nice. If you are on a budget and don't care about the look of the room, you can give this a try. Good for 1 or 2 nights' stay.

"Well-situated between the centre and Brussels Midi"

8.0

About 15 minutes walk from Brussels Midi Station and 8 minutes walk from the Grand-Place, the hotel is well situated for those who do not want to use public transport. It is small and rather old-fashioned but friendly enough. A useful place for a quick overnight stay.

"Our worst hotel stay ever!"

2.0

We did not book the hotel. It was made by our friends. The room allocated was bad, the shelf where you could put your toiletries on top was slanted so whatever you put will only slide down. Didn't realise that so my whole toiletry bag was wet when it fell out of the shelf. Shower space was small and water coming out was very irregular with hot and cold. There were two extra pillows but with no pillow cases and we had to ask repeatedly for some pillow cases before we got them. No housekeeping done for our room and we had to remind them to do it as we needed new towels. I would not go back to the hotel. Even with the price we paid, I would have expected some decent service as a minimum and it was just ridiculous to having the need to ask for housekeeping services or get simple requests attended to. I would have paid more for a decent hotel and got a pleasant experience but luckily our trip outside the hotel was wonderful so our whole holiday was not completely ruined.

"You get what you pay for!"

2.0

The hotel should come with the term "You get what you pay for". The check in staff asked for my credit card even though I had paid online and then gave the speil about how they cancelled it and to be charged again... Wait what? Why cancel it and recharge it. It just seemed dodgy to me. The Credit Card company confirmed two payments taken were going to be refunded. They also demanded I pay a city tax and I was rather confused by this and it had to be paid in cash. The door to the room wasnt aligned right so took some force to shut. The room stank of something I cannot quite put my nose on but it had this aroma of damp I guess. Black Mould lined the corners of the walls behind the wardrobe. The laminate flooring was lifting and seperating and was a huge trip hazard. The TV turned on but could not achieve any signal so it was useless. The lighting was something that reminded me of a Brothel... Seedy. The bed was like sleeping on concrete but I was so tired I could of slept anywhere. The bathroom was the only redeemable feature of the room except the usual mould. The view was of a brick wall, no natural light, just a brick wall. The Wifi was spotty but usable for emails and facebook. I would not recommend to stay unlrss your budget is extremely tight, I have stayed in hostels better than this. Next time I wont be so tight and il book the IBIS, at least you know what your getting.

"Overall bad experience"

4.0

Only two advantages of this "hotel" was nice staff and that it's located close to the center. Everything in the room looked bad, broken mirror, windows with holes, uneven floor. It's unpleasant place where you don't want spend much time, it's good in case you wan't to see the city and you don't care at all about accommodation. It was cheap but still not worth it's price. There was wifi but open one, which was weird that they don't have secured wifi.

"Bad service, worst experience ever!"

2.0

I would definitely recommend not booking here! Very bad service: the hotel made a mistake with my booking, so upon arrival they couldn't find my reservation and the hotel was fully booked. Although the receptionist admitted that they made a mistake, she didn't want make me a reservation in another hotel in the same street because of the small difference in the price. After one hour (!) of waiting her 'soution' was a hotel far outside of the city centre where I felt very unsafe and I was eventually late for my business appointment. This situation has ruined my trip!
