Beautiful location and wonderful hosts! We look forward to returning!

This is a small, family-run hotel, probably most suitable for couples. The rooms are simple, comfortable, clean and have air-con. We always have a Lake view with a balcony. The family owners, Ty and Paola, have years of experience and are now helped by the next generation - Giacomo and Marta are super. The whole family look after you and are all endlessly helpful with everything. The restaurant has a fantastic reputation with locals as well as visitors and is as good as ever, with a range of traditional and inventively updated dishes which change regularly - you can choose anything from a light meal to a full banquet ! The family will advise on what to choose and what to expect, and can recommend wines to match, at very reasonable prices. Hotel guests get discounted prices in the restaurant. Brilliant. Once visited, you won’t want to leave - or go anywhere else !

We liked everything but mostly the Outstanding customer service. This hotel is managed by the entirely family, and they are the best in what they do in the different areas! The food is superb and add that to enjoy the meal in the beautiful terrace facing the Lake! The hotel is old but with all the necessary to enjoy your stay! We highly recommend it! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This property was in a breath taking location. The restaurant looked over Lake Como and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast there. The staff could not be more friendly or helpfull. I hope to stay here again.

We stayed at Alberghetto La Marianna in May. It is a smaller, family owned and run hotel with a restaurant with a fixed price menu. It is not the most luxurious of hotels, but the family treated us as their own. Giacomo went above and beyond to be sure we had everything we needed. The location is very close to the ferries, and the bus stops right in front. Right across the street from the Lake, and breakfast is served at their outdoor cafe on the lake. I would highly recommend this for a reasonably priced hotel away from the craziness of Bellagio, but only a quick ferry ride away.

We do NOT like large impersonal hotels, no matter how classy - which is why we chose the Marianna. It’s a small, family hotel located on the east side of Lake Como, right across from Bellagio & Varenna - and I can’t recommend it enough! We loved our three days there! There’s a lovely shaded terrace under the vines right on the waterside with views to die for across the lake to the mountains and villages. Breakfast there as well as pre-dinner drinks were amazing! This is not the sort of place you look for if you want luxury, but if you want a personable, clean, comfortable hotel with lots of character, then you can’t ask for a better place! The owners, Tiziano and Paula, and their son Giacomo, make this place what it is! Tiziano’s cooking is fantastic - very Italian but at the same time very original. He loves to experiment for flavors and textures! Definitely a place to come back to. We left our car in their private parking lot for our entire stay (free) and just walked a few hundred meters along the lake to the ferry, which took us to Bellagio & Varenna. There’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel, and the little tourist train stops there too! Grazie per il meraviglioso soggiorno, Giacomo, Tiziano & Paula! Fino alla prossima volta!

What really stands out with this hotel are its owners (Paola, Tiziano and Giacomo): very friendly, always willing to help and the chef is great. The menu that is being served is excellent and can be enjoyed on their beautiful terrace, which overlooks lake Como. The rooms are fine and the hotel has this cozy atmosphere that you expect from a small family hotel. We highly recommend this place!! Hans and Dorrie
