Paraíso - Touristic Apartments

The hotel was fantastic. The staff was nice and helpfull and even the cleaning ladies were incredible nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It was a very clean hotel and very modern design in its room, the reception was very helpful, they even gave me an umbrella in a rainy day. Very good internet signal, supermarket right under your room, there is also a bus station right in front of the hotel for those who want to use it to go down town and most importanly return to the hotel with it. I have read some comments for it before the renovation that where no good, but now the hotel is totally defferent and in a good area surrounded by other hotels tour operations and a lot of restaurants , I have enjoyed my stay at this hotel, I recommend it

we decided to book this place for just one night .. room very clean , had a room at the front .. sadly not there fault but they had road works outside redoing the road .. so quite a lot of racket going on interesting to sit & watch on the balcony lol .. if i was booking again i would consider trying to get a room around the back as the road was quite busy till the early morning so not a good sleep with the cars hammering up it ... parking is a little walk away down the road .. but over all not a bad little place for the price you pay ...

Nice and clean modern style! Newly restored, or built? (2017) NO AC OR ANY FANS WHAT SO EVER!! I am sorry, but sleeping here has been totally dreadful!! After a week I am totally exhausted!! And just looking forward to go home to the cold!... I know it's stupid, because the hotel is nice! Staff is nice! Small convenient cooking area, and a good supermarket at the ground floor! But not being able to breath, make it totally unacceptable and I wanted to give lowest score possible just for that!... This is August, and day temperature is about 27 C. 1:st floor. No sun what so ever. (Thankfully!) Loud nabourgs and busy street! Couldn't find any store with a large electric fan... Central! In the middle of Lido area, about 2-3km. steep walk from Funchal. Parking garage for a few €.

Just returned from these apartments. Pluses & minuses in all areas; rare level location; easy walk to Pingo Doce supermarket & cafe (nearby restaurants expensive). On busy bus route so well connected but some road noise. 4 parking spaces but no other free parking nearby. Comfy reception lounge & bar (closes 9pm) & wi-fi (none in apartments). Lift to all floors including roof sun terrace. Tiny, shabby & under-equipped kitchenette with only twin hob for cooking. There was enough wall space for a microwave so pity this not provided. Also no wine glasses, ice cube tray or serving spoon. We managed, but it was a bit like caravanning. The bathroom was dated & our shaver light & socket didn't work but to be fair we forgot to report it. No toiletries or tooth mugs were provided but it had a full complement of fluffy towels and we liked having our own water heater - no more tepid showers at peak times. The bedroom we did like; fairly comfortable twin beds, plenty of storage, sliding patio doors to east facing balcony. Several English language programmes on the cable TV but only a scart socket (if you are thinking of using it to show your own recordings), two armchairs & a small table. We could not fault the housekeeping. The price of these apartments reflects the fact they need updating and overall we thought our studio was good value for money, but a few simple & cheap additions would make a huge improvement.

Friendly staff who were helpful, tidy rooms with basic cooking facilities for the price. Located a few kilometers from the town centre that you can walk or catch a bus. Recommend this place
