Paraíso - Touristic Apartments

Fantastic little apartment with cooking facilities and balcony. Very quiet complex with thick walls so no disturbance from neighbours. Great little coffee shop and supermarket underneath. Bed very comfortable. Only thing to improve would be air con or a fan

Stayed here at the end of January when it was relatively quiet at the hotel and in Funchal, despite this there were lots restaurant and cafes open nearby. The location of these apartments are great, on the main street in the upper area of Funchal, near the Lido. It is a great place to start a walk into the old town Funchal or in the opposite direction to the shopping mall. Our apartment was a twin room and sofa bed and was located on the front of the building with a huge balcony. I'm pretty sure this is the best room, it is high enough so that the traffic noise is not too much of a hinderance. Other apartments mainly have a side view to adjacent hotels, however still with a smaller balcony. The apartment is very well equipped in the kitchen, the bedroom has good storage space, the living/dining area is modern and spacious, the balcony has a dining table and chairs and 2 sun loungers. The bathroom has a lovely walk in shower. I found that the sofabed was very firm used as a bed and so i did struggle to sleep on this, there is also a loud humming noise noticed at night which I presume is from the vents located on the roof. The hotel has a roof terrace with sun loungers, there is a small spa (large bath) for guest to book. Breakfast was a simple offering of breads, cakes, fruit, cereals, scrambled egg, bacon. Staff were pleasant and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard. Overall I really enjoyed my stay here and would likely return to this particular apartment.

Stayed there a month, apartment although compact had everthing that was needed, very convenient for l Bus services, serviced every day, staff nice. Would go back.

This apartment was everything that we needed, the kitchen area was in a nice location and had the facilities of a kettle, microwave with grill/oven, hob, fridge and toiletries. We did only eat breakfast in the apartment. A balcony that looked out to the sea and a roof top sun area. We received a welcome drink card for 2 glasses of Madeira wine which was served in the bar/eating area downstairs. The location was good for us, a nice 20 minute walk into the main town but on the bus route 1, 2 and 4. There are some really nice eateries and bars locally around too so no need to always go into the main marina/old town area. The supermarket underneath sold the necessities; cava, wine, bread, cheese, ham, croissants and was well priced. Maids came everyday and cleaned the rooms to a good standard and not too early. The only downside was that 2 dish towels were provided but there was no sponge/dish cloth or even a little washing up liquid. A small thing in the grand scheme though.

The hotel was very clean - even the towels smells really good 😊 I will definitly stay here another time!! And the location was perfect - with the supermarket/cafe/bar at the ground floor. The airportbus-stop was 20 meter from the reception of the hotel. All in all - perfect 😊

Stayed in Room 306, a one bedroom apartment, with two balconies overlooking the road. Large room width patio doors led to the large front balcony with sun loungers and table and chairs, the side balcony was smaller but also had room for a table and chairs. Although facing the road there was no real disturbance from traffic noice. The lounge was large and airy with a sofabed and modern kitchenette with hob, microwave and large fridge/freezer, but unfortunately no toaster. The bathroom had a spacious walk in shower. The bedroom was roomy with a wardrobe and dressing table areas. Although the apartment was spotlessly clean and looked to be newly refurbed, there was a slight damp smell about it. Although there was a couple of hard backed chairs, when the sofabed is permamently made up, there is no comfortable seating, which was a downside. The breakfast which we paid extra for was very basic and not particularly appetizing and if a toaster had been provided in the apartment we would not have bothered with it, as there is a great value shop below the apartments which sells everything. The apartment is situated in a great location, about 10 minutes walk to the lido and 25-30 minutes walk to the old town, with plenty of bars and restaurants around. Bus stops very close by.

Удобные аппартаменты, современно оформленные, хорошее постельное белье и полотенца. Рядом остановка автобусов по городу и в/из аэропорта. Есть небольшой магазин прямо в здании отеля и недалеко большой супермаркет( где Lido). Хороший район для прогулок вдоль моря, недалеко центр города,минут 20 пешком

Booked here for 2 nights for a city break. First impressions were very good, lovely room, a shop/cafe out the front of the apartments. The jacuzzi was not working when we were here so a bit gutted as we were looking forward to using it. Didn’t sleep in the night, was a quite a warm day compared to wales the day before! Asked reception for a fan and was told there was none here. The toilet water was running all night and couldn’t stop it and to top it off drunks at 3am making a racket. We ordered breakfast for 5 euros each and wasn’t worth it so don’t bother! As we were only in Funchal for the 2 nights we booked a hotel room at Pestana Carlton so we could get our head down. Shame about the apartments but Funchal made it worth visiting. Love the place and can’t wait to go back!

Apartamentos bem situados. Pessoal simpático, mercearia mesmo por baixo e situado em zona de imensa restauração e transportes. Muito bom
