Villa Angela

Chic and charming at the same time. Staff is very attentive and professional.

My daughter and I stayed here for 4 days. We were attending a wedding in Taormina so we were very busy going to parties and meeting up with people so didn't seem to have enough time to soak up all the pleasures and atmosphere that Villa Angela had to offer. The hotel has a lovely terrace and bar on the top level on which we would have loved to have spent our evenings. The staff were helpful and accomodating, the breakfast was great and the pool was lovely - not a big hotel so the pool was never too busy - always deck chairs and umbrellas available. It's a little out of town so probably not great for younger people though the shuttle service is great and taxis are easy to get. I would highly recommend it but stay longer than 4 days!

Hotel service excellent and stunning views from our balcony, but spoilt by noisy traffic and vehicles using their horns on all the bends of the winding road up the mountain.Hotel breakfast OK but would have preferred more of a variation, especially the cooked food.

Great location for views of Etna and coastline. Quality of service and friendliness of staff was outstanding. Shuttle into town worked very well and it was good to retreat back up to the hotel which was generally very quiet. Two minor points, the addition of tea/coffee facilities in the room would have been appreciated and the quality of towels was not as good as other places we stayed in during this trip to Sicily. However, overall we had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Angela.

The hotel is situated in the hills above Taormina with wonderful views over Etna and the town and sea below. Service is very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable with large terrace. We visited in April when it was cold....room was quite chilly but otherwise a perfect stay.

Room was clean, service great, breakfast was fabulous, view fabulous. Only things I would change is that it was cold in the room and had to ask for them to put up heat as thermostat did not work until we asked. Shuttle to town should be free as it is too far and dangerous to walk on the narrow road.

One of the nicest hotels of our 10 day stay in Sicily with views to die for. Romantic setting away from the congestion of downtown Taormina. Regular hotel shuttle gets you into town conveniently and for a nominal fee. Grounds and interior are well maintained and the staff is courteous, approachable and extremely helpful. Unpretentious luxury!

I loved hotel Villa Angela. Too bad we could only stay one night in Taormina. Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly all the time. Rooms are beautiful with a great balcony with an amazing view over the sea and the volcano Etna. The hotel is not in the centre of the town so they provide a shuttle about every hour to go to there and come back. This service usually has a cost but since we were only staying one night they didn't even charge for it. Will certainly go back.

This is a lovely hotel perched on the hillside just on the outshirts of Taormina with incredible views accross to Mount Etna and the sea. The breakfast room also has the same beautiful views and the breakfast is reasonable - certainly by Italian standards. This is out third visit to Taormina and this was by far the best location - we stayed three nights, left the car in the free car park on top of the hotel and used the hotel bus to pop into town - or you could walk down an interesting path which took about 25 minutes or so. The only down side was that things, especially eating out is very expensive in Taormina - especially compared to the rest of Sicily and Southern Italy.

This is a beautiful hotel, situauted up above the town. The views are amazing of the sea and mount Etna. The staff could not have been nicer and the food there was great.
