Hotel Lion Sofia

Our room at the top was big, bright and airy with good views across Lion Bridge. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. This was a great location to grab a tram up the road to the central area, and a welcoming place to come back and relax after sightseeing. The hotel has apparently had a major refurbishment and at the same time offers great value for money. Breakfast options in the adjacent restaurant were varied and interesting. Nicely prepared and presented.

Our simply but elegantly presented room had one drawback: the carpet was an impractical shade of pale beige, which already was in need of cleaning. A pity, because it slightly took the edge off a very nice room. It was good to have a mini fridge (with price list) though it was not stocked. When I asked, I was told they do not stock the fridges now, but there were several supermarkets very close by. We were VERY tired when we arrived! Complimentary water would have been welcome. The lift to upper floors is up six or seven shiny marble stairs from the reception area. A handrail is desperately needed here. If someone is slightly wobbly on their feet it could be dangerous. For someone with mobility issues, access could be extremely difficult.

Good location, clean

The location was great - right beside the metro station and within talking distance to many of the attractions we wanted to see. Rooms were spacious and clean. We took the breakfast, which offered a good selection from a set menu.

The check-in time listed through booking.com was incorrect, but they let us leave our luggage to check in later and gave us recommendations on things to see in the neighbourhood.

Belle chambre bien équipée. Dans le centre, pratique pour bouger et une station de métro et tram devant l’hôtel. Petit déjeuner à la carte excellent

Chambre pour 3 personnes. Le troisième couchage (canapé lit) était vraiment dur et pas confortable

Location of this hotel is great. Next to the metro station, which was very convenient.

TV is just too small for the size of the room. Also. The down side is that there isn't enough shelves in the wardrobe and hooks in the bathroom. An extra chair in the room and perhaps a coffee table would be nice to have.
