Hotel Lion Sofia

The towels needs changing. The staff at the lobby did not look at our faces at all during our interactions! Neither in the evening when we came back. Nor in the morning while leaving. Interesting for “hospitality” business :) The hotel is old and feels like nobody cares about anything. Sad to notice no one is happy at that place and thus the hotel does not make the guess happy. PS. There is an independent coffee shop which serves to hotel guests as well. Their staff was lovely and the food was quite good.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the underground station, but it is not in the centre of the city. It has two supermarkets very close by, which could be useful as breakfast can only be served as of 08.00 in the attached café, which also caters for external clients. Staff are not particularly nice or helpful in the hotel and in the café. There is a working elevator, but there is a short flight of stairs to reach it, so I do not think that the hotel is accessible, but it should be verified. The room was relatively spacious and nice, even if with a not-very-clean carpet as it was of a light colour and so stains were easily noticed. It had sufficient amenities. Room and in-suite bathroom seemed clean. It would benefit from some renovations and from friendlier staff.

Das Frühstück war sensationell gut und frisch.

Das Badezimmer hatte leider einen penetranten Geruch, obwohl alles sehr sauber war.

Хороший отель в центре Софии. Рядом метро, жд вокзал, магазины,музеи. Номер просторный,чисто, удобный матрас. Есть кофемашина,холодильник. Останавливаемся не первый раз. Очень довольны.
