Bed is not comfy, it is hard to sleep on There is only one restaurant nearby and to go there you have to jaywalk across the street and dangerous but Enrico warned us to be careful.

Beautiful pension, very quiet, very nice host and near aeroport.

The mattress had a strong pee smell.

5apart from the casino, nothing much you could see without taking a transportation to Venice.

The check-in was less than desirable. We couldn't understand why he was asking for more money after we paid in full 6 months ago. I was not part of the whole mess. When the dust settled and after the host called booking and the host finally allowing us to use his wifi. We were able to figure out that the city taxes went up. All he cared about was getting his money. He wouldn't let us access his wifi so we can get online to access information. So we could understand what was going on. We had stayed at other places in Venice and had NO ISSUES. They did not ask for more money for "taxes." We booked and paid for all our travel 6 months ago. Why all of a sudden was this host asking for more money? Once he got his money, he turned on a light in the hallway that led to the bedrooms. I couldn't tell the light was turned on, I think going down the hall with candlelight would have been brighter. Even the bedroom lights were dark. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the ac, I sent the host through booking messages app asking him how to turn on the ac he never responded. It was a split unit and I looked for a remote to turn it on, but I couldn't find it. My partner found what we believe to be a thermostat, but the host covered it up with a piece of paper. I guess he didn't want anyone messing with it. We couldn't figure out how it worked, so we taped the paper back on it. The windows had roll up shutters and we didn't know how to open that up either. So getting air in the room was a lost cause. He had no fans. He even unplugged the lamps on both sides of the bed. The bed was maybe a little softer then sleeping on the floor. It was rock hard. So we basically sweated all night and we were both miserable. Someone came in about 2am making noises and he snored really loud the rest of the night. With it being at the end of the runway. You heard planes taking off all night long.
