Hardanger Hotel

I really loved the view from the hotel room of the fjord, and the breakfast was decent. However the shower was alittle weird and made water go all over the floor of the bathroom.

Spent one night here on our Norway travels as it was close to the starting point for the Trolltunga hike. The hotel was very basic but clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, even allowing us to have breakfast (which was great) before the usual start time so that we could get off to an earlier start. Something to consider though if you're planning to get up early for Trolltunga- we stayed on a Saturday to walk on Sunday, and there was a lot of bar/ nightclub noise which went on until the early hours of the morning - our room was on the front of the hotel (with an amazing view..!) so not sure if being at the back would have been a better option noise-wise, or if other nights are quieter.

Wasn't too impressed by the area of Odda, but the location of it to Trolltunga made it decent. Everyone was nice at the hotel and complimentary breakfast was great. Don't get the economy room if you don't need a fridge. Wish I spent a little more for a room with fridge. All in all - solid choice!!

The hotel had construction which made parking a bit confusing, not overall no complaints. Great location and nice breakfast.

Very small bathroom

It was overall excellent. The first night our room did not have blinds that blocked out light(503) . The second night the room was very nice but there was a loud party across the street until 3AM.

Be mindful that this hotel is tailored to people for hiking outside mostly. Amenities in room is extremely frugal and limited. This is fine for us given we’re here to hike trolltunga, but no hair drier and shampoo does bother us as those are essential after the hike. Another bad thing here is it is quite noisy. We could hear lots of noises on the street on Sat night till probably 1am or later. We can’t get into sleep before that and it is definitely a no-no for people planning for early hike next day.

Good location. Breakfast was excellent, lots of variety. The room was comfortable and spacious. Great shower. It was a little noisy outside our room. Once you closed the window it was quiet. However, it did get hot. A fan would fix this. Other than that, great stay.

First room could use better blinds. 2nd stay noise until 3 AM across the street.
