Hardanger Hotel

Used as a base before and after the Trolltunga hike. Very basic and fairly small room and single bed but comfortable. Nice breakfast. Some nice restaurants in area and a nice easy hike along river. Quiet area.

Nice property and the room was very nice and spacious. Would have been nice to have black out shades or curtains.

Great hotel with a 100+ years history in Odda. The perfect place to stay if you want to spend some time locally in Odda or want a base camp for exploring all the attractions in the area like Trolltunga, Buerbreen, Cider farms, Folgefonna, Fjord Cruises, one of the many festivals and much more. The host is from the original family of owners, is very friendly, and has slowly but surely restored the hotel inside since he bought it back 27 years ago. He has invested and restored the rooms, built an extra floor on top with large Superior Rooms with a great view from the balconies. He is also an avid art collector and throughout the hotel, you will find a lot of great art on display. The hotel operates as a bed and breakfast, with a popular bar in addition to the core services. From time to time, they also offer cultural events. Across the street, you will find the best gourmet dining in Odda at Agas Bistro.

Everything is great but the pipe was leaking under the sink.

Great views and clean hotel!

Amazing stay at Hardanger Hotel. Great accommodation with a view of the Fjord into Odda. Mint location. Because we started our hike early, before the breakfast timing, the hotel let us make a packed lunch. They were happy to let us store luggage when we arrived early before check in, and even looked after it for us after checkout while we went hiking during the day and departed that Odda in the evening. Vanja was super nice and friendly, great host for the hotel. A from New Zealand travellers.

Room was extremely hot and management didn’t know why and had no other alternatives, heat wasn’t on however it may have been due to the fact the room was above some kind of kitchen or heating system, also overpriced for such an old hotel which hasn’t been updated
