Astoria Salzburg

Good hotel though not luxury, staff very helpful, good choice of breakfast. Only thing i would have liked was tea and coffee in the bedroom. Great transport to airport and city

Stayed here 3 years ago, still nice and clean, good breakfast, easy street parking.

Hotel was more out of the way than I anticipated. The staff had a chance to help us with lost luggage but refused to let us throw some clothing in their washing machine. It made for a very unpleasant stay with only the clothes on my back. All stores were closed as due to a flight delay we arrived 16 hours late on a Saturday night. I had no clean clothes for 2 days and no toiletries. The breakfast was nice and although the room was hot, a fan was provided.

very clean room with two twin beds we had asked for,but mattress was to soft, the bathroom was also very clean but small..we had a little closed in Balcony with seating which was great the breakfast had a great selection....we had arived on a the hotes days of the season the Hotel has no climate control and is also located on a very busy Street... our windows opend to the front with noice from the street sleeping was not very peacefull I recommend to asked for a room in the back if you choose the Astoria

The hotel was cozy and comfortable while it looks a bit old and small. It is a bit detached from the center of the town, but there is a great connection by city bus. Actually, the festival area is within 30-min. walking distance. Staff and owners were very kind. Great stay ! Thank you!

Staff was really exceptional. The breakfast buffet was top notch. They make you whatever kind of eggs you want to order. My biggest complaint was no air conditioning. No fans either. I was very uncomfortable In the heat of late July. Beds were ok, but hotel is old. Very convenient to bus stop. Right across the street

Nice hotel. We only used this hotel as a stopover on our drive to Venice. The staff were excellent, the rooms were very nice and the breakfast facilities were very good. My only comment would be that it was difficult to figure out where to stop in order to park as a bicycle lane has been put directly in front of the hotel and the hotel has no parking garage. Park on the side street and you will be fine. The hotel provided the necessary parking pass for on-street parking.

The room was hot and stuffy. We were given a fan as there was no air conditioning, however it was really noisy but had to be left on or the room was roasting. We had a twin room so do not take this option as it is way too small and stuffy for 2 people. There is a lift but it only stops on the half floor so you have to drag your luggage down a half flight of stairs to get into the lift and then drag it up another half flight to get into your room. The room was clean but the towels were not changed at all and the toilet paper was not replenished. It felt mean and petty. The buffet breakfast was ok, plus you had a choice of a very small boiled egg or a small portion of scrambled egg included in the room rate. There was also steps leading up to the property outside. There was no bar to speak of or restaurant, however there was two really good restaurants close by. It was about 15 to 20 minutes walk to town but public transport was outside the door of the property. I saw a couple of reviews before I booked this and most were positive but really speaking a breakfast does not make up for the rest of the stuff and I personally did not experience the hospitality that some guests have spoken about. Salzburg is lovely but this hotel did not add to the experience.

Friendly and helpful staff. Not centrally located. About a 15 minute walk or so to the city center.

Small hotel a 14 min walk into town. Small rooms which were updated but pretty basic. The breakfast was good and they made eggs to order.
