Best Western Hotel Bremen City

After conparing this property to an American version ( the same level ) ex. Super 8 in Cromwell, CT, i must admit the sheets, floors, and bathrooms ( including in the common areas) are crispy clean!!!

Room : Spacious. Housekeeping : good AC, hot water, ventilation -- good Rooms faces main road but noise insulation - good Proximity to central station : straight line 4minutes walk to Bremen HBf Proximity to food : plentiful everywhere esp halal/middle eastern Recep services : we arrived as a large group - and the recep had everything was prepared (check in cards only needed signature); rooms and keys were ready & allocated. She was also the one who responded quickly and clearly to our emails 2 weeks before we arrived to Bremen. (wish i remember her name! - good cheerful services) Breakfast : good enough. Coffee from machine - good.

This was a game of two halves. On the day we arrived, we found that there were not many tea bags in the room, so we asked at Reception for more. The girl on duty had no idea, and could not find any! Next day however, a different lady was on reception and she was very helpful in directing us to a hospital as I had fallen and injured my hand. She called a taxi for us, and was very kind.

Very good hotel.

Hotel was good and closer to a parking facility, we got an upgrade so it was a comfortable stay overall.

We have stayed in BW hotels before and normally find them to be reliable. Not high end, but comfortable and clean. This BW is neither. It was filthy. Dirty marks all over the walls and doors, both in the room and the bathroom. There was black mould in the shower, a previous guest had drawn on the side of the sink with handsoap and it had not been wiped off. Scraps of toilet paper had been dampened and wrapped around the towel rail. The only good thing I can say about the place is that the bedding was clean, but then again the mattresses need replacing. Never again. It is worth pointing out that the external photo on hotels.com is not the hotel. The hotel is a 70s prefab build - it looks like an Ibis, but unfortunately isn't up to their standards. We alerted Hotels.com and received a reply that our concerns would be forwarded to the manager. We have heard nothing and nothing was said at check out.

Everything was pretty good, staff was very helpful and I appreciated being able to stash my suitcase for a few hours. Bathroom was a little out of date & smelled a little like someone had been smoking in there in the past. Fan didn’t seem to work very well despite being very loud.

No parking available as indicated on the advertisement. Please change it.
