"Great Location, Food, Nightlife, Transportation"

8.0

Located in the middle of the Platteau Mont Royal neighborhood, a vibrant gentrified area with a mix of young people, families, and older couples. Many restaurants and nightclubs within walking distance. Transportation is easy, the Orange line is within 13 min walk. Parking is tight on the street, once you find a parking space you just leave the car there. The B&B gives you a $5 voucher for breakfast at a local Boulangrie. That usually covers coffee and a croussant. It took only 30 minutes to get from the B&B to Old Montreal via the subway. We bought an all day pass for $10 on the subway and had a great time walkiong around visiting the various historical sites and museums. We also took a cruise along the waterfront, I would only recommend that if it is good weather and you can stay on deck the whole time like the day we went. Food is reasonably priced but many restraunts do not sell wine or beer. You have to run over to a grocery or liquor store to buy a bottle of wine to have with dinner. The waiter will happily uncork the bottle and put it in ice for you with out a corkage fee.

"Clean, safe & quiet hotel"

6.0

Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. There was a mini kitchen for our use but no breakfast. We received daily $5 certificates for local cafes. Our mattress was somewhat uncomfortable, the shower tiny. The WiFi was strong, tv was good. 15 minute walk to nearest metro station. Older building, just an inexpensive (but safe & clean) minimal place to sleep.

"Good"

2.0

It's a corner row house in a residential street. The parking is on the street with lots of regulations. Their credit card machine charges extra 4% on top of your credit card for the billing in the U.S. dollar. I didn't see that until I got back home. Very disappointing in the latter part.

Parking was tricky but they were very helpful. Left too early in the morning to take advantage of breakfast coupons.

"Happy"

We arrived at about 8 pm. We were greeted and given information about local eateries within walking distance which we appreciated. Breakfast was not served on site but we were given vouchers to two charming coffee shops. Both of our mornings were lovely. Madam made sure our parking was in a safe free space. The place is old but clean. Actually the age added charm. We wanted to experience Old Montreal and this B&B was perfect. I would stay again!
