"Great bed and breakfast"

10.0

Great homey feel. The hosts are amazing and go out of their way to help you. Parking is free street side parking on a residential street which is convenient. Breakfast is $5 vouchers to a restaurant a block away that you can use at any time. Bathrooms are definitely clean, the cheaper rooms have a shared floor bathroom but I never ran into an issue where the bathroom was full. Our room did not have AC but there were 2 fans inside which was good enough. Location is great. It's less than half a mile from the restaurant Big in Japan which is on an extremely busy street. A block away is another busy streets with a bunch of shops and restaurants. It's about a mile from Chinatown, the Basillica, and the port area. The further things like the Biodome is about 3 miles away but if you don't mind walking, you can clear the walk in less than an hour and the walk is beautiful. Overall I'd definitely stay here again.

"Bienvenue is full of Bohemian Charm."

10.0

Bienvenue Bed and Breakfast had all the character and charm we were looking for right in the very hip le plateau neighborhood of Montreal. The room is simple and you share a bathroom, but it was clean, quiet and the right feel for the right price.

"Warm welcome at Bienvenue in a trendy district"

10.0

I stayed at Bienvenue for a 4-day vacation stay in Montreal in the summer. Although I arrived late in the evening at the B&B, Carol greeted me warmly at the door and helped me settle in. Fresh coffee is made every day in the dining room, but breakfast is in the neighborhood, not at the B&B Guests are given $5 stipends towards the cost of the meal. The B&B is located in the Plateau Mont-Royal quartier which is a trendy neighborhood of cafes, restaurants, shops, art, easily accessible transportation (metro and bus), and lovely small parks.

"Cute Neighborhood"

8.0

We had a great stay at Bienvenue B&B. The hotel is in a cute neighborhood which we were told was little Portugal. the food was great. The breakfast was $5 vouchers for area cafes. We tried 3 different locations. yes, the $5 will not cover your entire breakfast, but it does cut into the overall price. The innkeepers were very helpful and understanding when we arrived after 11pm.

"Not a 5 star Hotel but 5 star service"

8.0

The room was not very big. The ceilings are high tough so I guess that's where the volume of it is. Also, the room I had was probably the smallest as I only had myself. The bed was very comfortable. The building is old so there are cracks here and there in the walls but it gives it character. The lady was very friendly and was there when you needed her for anything. She even helped me out with directions around the city to the places I needed to go to and was very assisting that way. It is not a 5 star hotel but I would rate it 5 stars for what it is to my expectations of it.

"Genuine Montreal hospitality"

6.0

My 3-night stay was pleasant. I slept well and it was very quiet. Yes the hotel is older including the bedding, but everything was clean. Carrol and her husband, the owners, were extremely friendly and most accommodating. She even offered ice packs for my knee at the end of the day(from recent knee replacement). The restaurant providing breakfast was lovely and the food delicious. No frills hotel but very convenient to McGill University, beautiful parks and restaurants. All within easy walking distance. If you need a basic safe place to stay and don't require frills, this place is a good choice.

"Plain but clean and in a great neighborhood"

6.0

We arrived late at night and had arranged for me to pick up the keys which went very smoothly. The room is quite plain, but clean. The couple running the B&B are quite nice. The bed wasn't overly comfortable and the shower is incredibly smaller. The towels are a bit scratchy but overall we had a pleasent stay. The neighborhood is absolutely the best part of the B&B with quick access to St Laurent, St Denis and the metro. Fringe Fest and a movie shoot made parking a slight pain but again the couple was great and super helpful.

"Neighborhood B and B"

6.0

Great location to see the city on foot. Bike kiosks are also scattered about for rental. Free parking big plus. Hosts were terrific and accommodating. Room was basic, if looking for mints and throw pillows, then not for you. The bed was too firm for me, others may like it. Missed breakfast as it started at 9.
