Goldstar Appartements Nice

extremely nice and helpful reception staff, very accomodating

It was easy to get to everything around Nice. Was a little sad that the rooftop bar was not open in the evening when we wanted to watch the sunset. The room was ideal for 3 adults. The sofa bed was very comfortable but the main bed was a little hard. The staff was very accommodating to all our needs. They where very accommodating to all the Ironman participants stay for the week. My handicap wife had no problems getting around hotel.

Our stay at Goldstar was very nice, the staff we’re always very nice and warm, anything we asked or needed was provided, we were only a couple blocks from the promenade and the bars and restaurants were close

Great location - 5 minutes walk from Promenade des Anglais and good selection of bars and restaurants. New tram link to airport is also a couple of blocks away. The room was spacious and comfortable. Slightly dated decor but still a great base for staying in Nice

Location was good. Room was large but had plumbing issues. Overall hotel was not very appealing and not in tip-top shape. Felt a bit motel like. Staff was ok but not very helpful with navigating the town or communicating important information. Plumbing issues never addresses and room cleaning was cursory at best. Pool was small but appreciated. Would look to find other accommodations if ever in Nice again.

Pro: location good for train, beach, old city. Breakfast had a good assortment. Con: Air conditioning didn’t work. Told Front desk, they couldn’t do anything or switch room as hotel was booked they said. Gave me 3 fans which was severely uncomfortable for young kids in Europe summer. They had a technician come in next day who disconnected switches and didn’t fix probalem. Front desk apologized and said I should just email their office. I did and never heard back. Be aware of you want to be conformtable in a hotel room with AC.

We liked the pool as it was covered, but it does need maintenance. There needs to be a lot more sunshades/parasols though. We do not like the large terracotta Chinese statues in the hallways as they are scary when you get out of the lift particularly in the dark. Overall the holiday was very nice and calm.
