Lovely hotel. Pretty flowers. Large place. So peaceful. Beautiful Christmas tree. Good music. Friendly and very informative staff. Shiny lights. Yellow lamps. super lovely drinks Awesome views. Delicious food Loved having lunch at Lauren's hotel! 10/10

Staff wonderful!

O hotel é lindo e muito bem cuidado. Todos os detalhes são espetaculares e o staff é muito simpático e têm muito cuidado com os hóspedes. O pequeno almoço é ótimo e a localização excelente. É mágico passar a noite mesmo na vila de Sintra.

Anunciam erradamente que têm um spa, marquei este hotel por esse motivo, por isso foi uma surpresa quando cheguei descobrir que na existe nenhum spa, têm apenas um serviço de massagens pago à parte e que te de ser agendado com antecedência. Faria sentido retificarem esta questão no próprio site uma vez que chegam a mencionar que têm jacuzzi mas este não existe.

What a charming, cozy stay we had in the Bella Vista room here. Check-in was smooth, and they offered a complimentary white port upon arrival. Our room was quaint, clean, and comfortable. The pillows are great! The restaurant is great, and so is the service there. It was exciting to stay in such an old hotel and I’d recommend it to friends and family.

The staff was very kind, the room was comfortable with a cute little balcony with views of the trees. This is in a great location for walking around the old town to explore shops and and restaurants. We grabbed a taxi to Pena Palace and ending up walking back into Sintra after we visited the Moorish Castle. It was a nice walk through the forested area and we enjoyed the quiet and peace. The breakfast had so many options and was very welcomed before our day of exploring.

This is not the fault of Lawrences Hotel, more of a cautionary tale - we arrived in Sintra after renting a car at the Lisbon airport after a very long travel day. Driving a rental car in a new country is always a bit of a shock but Sintra (and Lisbon) were on another level. The hotel did have a parking spot, but we should have asked for directions to the spot before arriving, as there was no where to park or pull off to check-in to your room. I jumped out of the car to get that information and check in but my husband had to continue driving. Sintra's road is long one-way loop and it took my husband 45 minutes to return to where I was, waiting to help direct him to the parking spot. I think it's safe to say that if we had to do it again, we'd probably travel by bus or some other means to get in and out of Sintra. It's extremely popular, for good reason, but traffic & pedestrians was overwhelming in early October - I couldn't imagine what it's like to drive there in the high season. Again, this is not the fault of the hotel - it's awesome they have parking available.

The hotel receptionist, Amanda Prosperar, was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. She helped me arrange for dinner at the restaurant and lit a fire in a sitting room to wait for dinner. It was cozy and I appreciated her providing me the historical content for this small, beautifully furnished old hotel - open since 1764! Dinner was good although the service by the restaurant staff needs improvement (bread was requested but not brought - my lemon tea was just it up lemon in hot water with no tea at all - no one ever checked on me after dinner was brought). For the cost of the meal, I was disappointed in the service. But for Amanda’s pleasant demeanor and sincere apology for my dinner experience, I would have rated the dinner much lower. It is sad, really, because the hotel itself is so special! Thank you, Amanda, for making my experience better.
