Pyramisa Island Hotel Aswan

Poor WiFi. Room was not clean and old Food was terrible

This was a relatively nice place to staying when traveling through Aswan. It’s on an island, so you’re separated from the hustle and bustle of downtown Aswan, which is nice. You’d think that would mean you’d have a quiet and relaxing hotel. While this was true for part of the time, this came to be far from the truth for the other part of our trip, primarily the wedding that took place at 11 PM with a procession in the lobby. My friend and I were startled awake to loud drums and chanting. This went on for about an hour. It was sort of dismaying and annoying since we had to wake up early the next morning for our tour. I understand that weddings are a special celebration, but more care and concern should be given as there are many guests who are at the hotel. Another low point was the bazaar in the hotel. Having traveling throughout Egypt to the main sites where bazaars are inevitably unavoidable, this was sort of disappointing. A resort is supposed to be relaxing, not an area where I have to worry about being harassed by people selling me trinkets. These were the only low points of the hotel. The breakfast offers many different choices, and the hotel staff are attentive to their guests in both the lobby and restaurant areas. If you’re looking for a place away from downtown Aswan with (relative) quiet (barring any weddings), this is a good place to stay.

The hotel location is amazing. The view was spectacular. Staff was friendly and generally helpful. We got to Aswan early and were able to check in early after a little wait time. Hotel is a little dated and needs to be upgraded. Food presentation was grand but the food was a little bland. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the hotel.

Property situated on an island with beautiful views from my big balcony. Many amenities. Nice walking trail. They have a shuttle to Abu Simbel which was very helpful. The only thing that I did not like was the food. It was terrible ! Asked for a steak sandwich and was brought pot roast with no flavor . Just bread. I told the waiter thats not what I ordered. He then said we dont have steak. I said well you should have told me that . The next day I ordered room service. Ordered grilled chicken . Chicken had blood in it. Becareful . They need a new cook badly !! I had also asked for a cappucino and was brought nescafe . Either the workers are clueless or they dont care.

The lobby is gorgeous and the location was great! Really enjoyed that aspect

Can’t find reservation. Poor customer service. Poor maintenance of the hotel. Updated hotel. Hair all over the floor in the bathroom. Over flow inside the bathtub. Poor drainage of the water. Poor hotel. Very disappointed. Do not recommend this hotel. Been told by other people room smells strong odor of fresh painted. Excellent customer service in the restaurant.

This property has great potential and its on a beautiful location of the Nile River, however the staff needs more training in executing customer checkin. The front desk employees are very nice however have no clue how to check you in or find your prepaid reservations. Unfortunately the hotel needs some tender loving care. The room that we were given smelled like a can of paint, but we were so tired and only there for 12 hours that we chose just to stick it out. Big mistake could not bare the smell. Room looked clean but all corners and under the bed dirty with dust. The shower head of the bathroom was the highlight of this room.

This was not one off my more enjoyable stays in Egypt, I had been before. I was here with a tour group and the check-in process was unpleasant.The young women at the reception desk were just handing out stacks of passports books to people in the hope that you would be able to find your own. Then once I finally got my key, one of the bellhops directed me to the general area of where my room was, but never mentioned I had to go down a flight of steps to find it. So I read the only posted signs in the hallways where he directed me and ended up back in the lobby, just to be escorted in the same direction, but down to the bottom floor where my actual room was. Before even entering the room though, the quality of the upkeep of the section of the hotel where I was staying was appalling. Doors were missing handles, hallways were full of dust and dirt, things were just so unkempt and outdated. Not to mention upon entering the room, I was immediately taken aback by the awful smell in the room. The television was an old tube 10" that only had a few channels and all of the buttons on the remote didn't work. The room had dead bugs on the lamp shades, walls, and on the floor in a few spots. The cabinet to the unclean and not even remotely cold mini-fridge only had one working hinge. The patio to the outside overlooking the unused dirty pool and unmanicured pool area was just unnerving. All in all, I won't be staying here again. There are plenty of other options available.
