Hotel & Gasthof Fraundorfer

Parking was very bad, not enough.

One of our favorites for 35 years. A trip to Europe is not complete without a stay here and a Champagne with Barbara

Room was spacious. Helpful and friendly staff. Dinner was very good. Loved the Bavarian entertainment. Breakfast buffet very good too. Loved the location. Very beautiful.

This lodge was extremely nice and in the perfect location to all of the top activities. The room looks like it had just been renovated, had comfortable beds, nice shower, and top of the line bed linens. The only down side to the room is that it could use a microwave to heat food. Breakfast was ok, mama get fresh bread every morning from the bakery. We are Americans, so for 20 Euro, we were expecting bacon and eggs, etc…However, it was more along the lines of a continental breakfast with cold cuts and cheese. Mama is the owner of the lodge and the restaurant. She was very kind and knows how to treat people, she went out of her way to help us with tour instructions and directions! Lastly, even if you pay taxes for your room online, you will be charged again with city tax and parking upon check out, we were not expecting to additional charges. Overall, the vacation was great and I would stay here again!

The hotel is part of a restaurant. There is no check in area. We entered and were ignored until finally, at the restaurant food service service area, we asked where the hotel was and they said it was right there. Then they gave us paperwork and went off to set tables and deliver food. We stood there - with our luggage in the middle of the restaurant - until another person (in the kitchen!) offered to give us our keys. A bit strange check in procedure! But everything else about the place was fantastic! Gorgeous exterior, comfortable room, lovely old touches, great modern bathroom, and even parking.

Barbara Fraundorfer is an extremely sharp woman, knows what's going on and goes out of her way to help her guests with information and ideas. Gasthof Fraundorfer is very conveniently located, accommodations were clean and roomy.

Great ambiance and location. A bit too many stairs for me but we a great room with a good view. Bed was a bit hard. Otherwise a wonderful stay!

Absolutely beautiful in the historic district. The owner is so helpful and pleasant. Opted for the breakfast which was very good just different from the American breakfast. Dinner was fabulous. Our server was quite helpful, pleasant and attentive. The dinner entertainment was an accordion player and two young boys occasional jumping in for traditional dance. Wunderbar!

Wonderful friendly staff. Delicious breakfast with a few vegan options. Restaurant is great. Location couldnt be better!
