Hotel Victoria Lauberhorn Wengen, a Faern Collection Hotel

Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good. Staff was helpful. Hotel’s location was very close to the train station, which makes transportation easier for tourists.

Price is high. It should be lower. Yes, I could afford it for this time but it might not be possible for the next time.

Location was excellent. Martin at the reception was incredible and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

Location is excellent, the hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. Guy who checked us in was great. The garden outside is a nice place for a quick drink. Great views.

The hotel is seriously dated and the interior is ugly. The spa was closed but the prices were still high. Breakfast was a grim affair (the room was miserable, the buffet was permanently empty meaning you kept having to ask for everything, even the basics, and what was there wasn't very nice - undercooked greasy bacon, limp mushrooms, bland ham etc. Cheese was nice though. Probably the most underwhelming brekkie I've had in a Swiss hotel).

Hotel Victoria-Lauberhorn is a very nice hotel with a classical look. It's very conveniently located within 1 min walking from the train station and has spectular views of the famous Jungfrau from the front facing rooms (see pic from our room). As said, the hotel has a nice classical feel. The staff here truly makes the difference, they are amazing. Breakfast is good in a nice breakfast area with beautiful chandeliers. The restaurant is very good and staff here is very courteous as well. All and all, a very nice hotel with good value for money (at Swiss prices 😅), which we highly recommend. Wengen is a very nice town with a classical feel (and very quiet in low season). And taking the cogwheel train to the Jungfraujoch via Kleine Scheidegg and the Eiger stop is spectacular!!!! We will certainly be back to check out the refurbished rooms and gym/spa/wellness area.

The rooms are nice if a bit dated. Beds are good quality. Towels could be larger and thicker. Bathroom needs a re-do as well. Staff told us though that the rooms, incl bathrooms will be refurbished soon. When we arrived staff told us that the entire wellness area was closed for refurbishment. We shared our discontent with this. The staff offered us a 25CHF discount per person per night. We told them that this wasn't enough to make up for not having a wellness area in such hotel. The next morning they informed us that we could make use of the spa in a nearby hotel - An outstanding and elegant solution.

We did like the convenient location and the upgrade room. The breakfast was typical but good.

Communication with the hotel was extremely frustrating as we found out their spa and pool was closed 5 days before arrival. We tried many times to contact them for a resolution but could not get them to commit. When we arrived at the hotel they did resolve it by giving us a free pass to the spa next door.
