Welcoming and friendly hosts; very spacious and comfortable rooms in an artistically decorated 250 year old villa; wonderful views of Mt Etna from your balcony; generous and varied breakfast served in the garden. Superb!

The Villa is a beautiful antique place. The service provided by the owners is impeccable and the daily breakfast made fresh is different every time and just delicious. You sit outside in the garden/patio which is smaller than we thought but nice. The room and the large terrace we had are very nice and the view of Mount Etna is gorgeous. The room cleaning every day was brilliant. It's a 20 mins drive from Taormina and 15 mins walk to the beach in Giardini Naxos where you find many restaurants and shops. You are right by the motorway that connects Catania and Messina. It took us 1 hour to drive up to Mt Etna.

This would have been a straight 10 but the actual location is very different from what we expected based on the reviews. It's right by the motorway and the toll station and you look right onto it from the terrace. That together with some other big roads and roundabouts which are within a 100 metres makes it very noisy so we had to sleep with the windows closed. Otherwise the neighbourhood is mixed residential and business and you again look onto some sites which are not really pretty. It just didn't live up to the idyllic idea we got from the pictures and reviews. You want to sit on the terrace and marvel at the amazing view of Mt Etna and enjoy La Dolce Vita but the constant sound of cars and trucks slightly gets in the way. We stayed for 3 nights and after a while you get used to the surroundings... A small point: the parking isn't free as suggested in the overview but costs EUR 8 per day.

We liked everything, but be aware that the location is not quite as silent as the pictures would make you think.

Beautiful villa. Our room with a balcony looked towards Mt Etna. Most comfortable bed we slept in in all of Sicily! Mr Salvatore and his wife are sweet. I enjoyed hearing the animals (not on their property) and the church bells. Its a bit of a walk to the center of town and the beach, Lovely and interesting antiques and paintings. oo

This was a fabulous place to stay. Salvatore and his wife were the perfect hosts and really went the extra mile to look after us!

The hotel is located outside the tourist area but access is difficult due to the confusion of taking a wrong turn and getting back into the tollway (not much around the neighborhood and not an easy walk to the closest beach – pretty dirty and rocky). The owners/host are very nice but do not speak English. The room we were assigned was plenty big, with a comfortable bed and a balcony with a view of Mt Etna. Communication was fine due to my “poor Italian” and their daughter answers the Whatsapp messages. The breakfast is plentiful but has unusual choices (this may be due to it being prepared fresh each morning and ready for each table). Examples of the breakfast items include: bruschetti with tomato, zucchini, and/or prosciutto, orange juice, fruit cocktail or fresh fruit, bread, and croissants, cookies, or cake. I did request and they made scramble eggs for me as I am not used to eating cold vegetables or fruit/croissants/cake in the morning. Parking is tight and difficult, as the gate is hard to open and close (not to mention outside traffic and people parking opposite to the gate!). Very nice hospitality in spite of location.
