"Wunderschönes"

10.0

100 % Weierempfehlung!

"Highly avoidable - Not a place we would ever go back to"

2.0

The website clearly doesn’t reflect reality. This is NOT a place we would ever enter willingly again. The rooms are nothing like advertised .From the reception where we were handed a room key and an air conditioner remote ( yes - and don’t ask me why the remote is not left in the room with the air conditioner!) through the narrow steep stairs ( there is no lift) and corridors that smelt of stale food, to what was touted as a room for 4 people with mini bar and balcony, things only declined. The room was awful. And that is putting it kindly. Green walls with a weird “ damp effect” that makes it look like the walls are peeling, dirty looking green bedcovers and matching curtains and furniture that looks battered and grey. The sheets at least seemed clean but one of the bedcovers had a hole it it - a cigarette burn. An awful bathroom where the flush didn’t work and you had to put your hand INTO the flush by lifting the cover and putting your hand into the mechanism to manually lift the lever...No fridge, no balcony - instead a window that overlooked a fire escape with a view of a red bucket and a a broom... Can it get worse? Yes, because the rooms stank of cigarette smoke.....and don’t start me on the lighting - dull and grey. An utterly depressing miserable room.... We spent 15 minutes in the room, got onto the Internet ( and I have to say the WiFi seemed to work well) and booked a fabulous set of clean,, joyful COVID compliant rooms exactly a 4 minute walk away. And left. We paid 84 euros ( yes you get what you pay for) for spending 15 min in this place and the pleasure of knowing we will never return. So unless you are someone who just needs a place to sleep, don’t worry too much about sanitized spaces, couldn’t be bothered about a loo that doesn’t works and don’t mind cigarette burns on your bedcovers and the smell of stale cigarettes, this place may not work for you.....And don’t ever go with kids. Mine are pretty hardy and have travelled around the globe - but this place got them depressed in minutes. Escape was a joy.

"Cancelled Holiday"

Book this hotel through booking.com and unfortunately our holiday is now cancelled due to COVID and Sicily been on Amber list from the UK but the hotel refuse to give us our money back. What poor practice in this very uncertain world. 😡

"THEY HAVE STOLEN OUR MONEY"

2.0

we were going sailing in 2020 and booked to stay in the hotel it was cancelled due to Covid and again in 2021. They will not give us a refund or partial refund. We booked through booking.com and they say we should have a full refund. The hotel has not answered my emails and requests . In my opinion have just taken our money because we can not go in and see them a nasty way to deal with guests.

"un soggiorno in pieno centro storico"

8.0

Location was great with a room overlooking the square. Unfortunately at around 4am each morning, the city cleaner cleans the square with an leaf blower for around an hour!

La struttura è posizionata proprio in piazza duomo e infatti la nostra camera affacciava proprio lì. La struttura è un po’ vecchietta ma comunque mantenuta pulita.

"Last night in Sicily"

8.0

Easy to get to from the Airport, where we dropped off the rental car,as we had a flight to Malta at about 6am. Hotel was right on the main square, opposite the Duomo and all the shopping streets radiated out from there..late afternoon and evening, the Square became very busy. Between diners, revellers and weddings...it was a delight to watch. The Hotel was quite small, with a tiny ,old fashioned reception area. The room was perfectly adequate, with windows and balcony overlooking the main square. Staff were helpful and arranged an early morning wake -up and a cab to take us to the airport. The night shift guy even helped us bring down the luggage. Left too early to have breakfast,so can't comment!

"Perfect location "

6.0

The location for this hotel couldn’t be better, it’s right on the Puazza Duomo.10 minutes walk from the ferry station and a good 15 to 20 minute walk to the train station. The fellow who checked me in at night the fellow on the desk in the morning were nice. The breakfast is a sweet bun and coffee at a lovely patisserie across the Piazza. Everything was great except the room. It’s really depressing. Dark peach sponge painted walls with glitter. Old furniture and linens and towels. It has a rooming house feel about it. Definitely needs updating!
