Thapae Happy House

My friend and I got a delicious smoothie bowl, Afternoon Delight, at The Happy house, as our late breakfast today. Our server happily changed the yogurt to almond milk in the smoothie, making our bowl vegan :) there was lots of fresh choices to choose from, including other smoothies and bowls, all of which have no added sugar and have fresh local produce. Would definitely recomened to any fruit lover or someone looking for a fresh breakfast, snack or desert.

A lovely place, located on a quiet street parallel to the city square, around the corner from everything!!! There's a big used book store a couple doors down for those travelers looking for a good read. We're currently enjoying an Afternoon Delight smoothie bowl at the partnering Snooze cafe ❤️

The hotel was clean and staff were really friendly and made it easy to check in. The room was also clean and not too small, however I would have booked a bigger room if we were there for longer. The breakfast options were quite good and there was cereal, muesli, fruit, tea, coffee and juice available as well as ordered food. There is no lift which was fine for us, as we were able to carry our bags and we were only on the first floor. The hotel was great about storing our bags after we had checked out for one night whilst we went on a safari as well. Overall, a great experience.

stopped off on route to the old town and bookshops and found this tranquil heaven.. superb service and smoothie to die for on a hot humid day .. wish we had had longer then the lunchtime offers would have been a wonderful addition to our visit

My partner and I stayed here overnight before heading off to an elephant park, so overall were only here for about 12 hours. The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, the room was tiny, we didn't have enough space to put both the suitcases down and have them open. This was ok as we were only staying one night, but if we were to stay longer it would not have worked. The area is quiet though which was great. The breakfast had pretty limited options as well. Overall, ok to stay for a night but probably wouldn't have been happy with what I paid if I was in that tiny room for longer than that.

We were only here overnight before we went to an elephant park. The hotel is clean and nice, the staff were great and our room was clean and ideal for an overnight trip. However, the room was quite small so personally we would not have wanted to stay here longer than one night. For breakfast there was limited options but it was a nice area and really nice sitting outside enjoying the weather early in the morning. Overall, a great hotel and some of the more expensive rooms may have been more suited to a longer stay!

Simple but decent

Great location and staff were all friendly and helpful. Like the mini pantry available at the lobby. Room is a tad small but cozy. The 1st room we had had blocked drainage that cause a mini flood while we shower. Our 2nd room was at the 4th level and had to climb all the way up and down having no lift. Breakfast was so-so, hence we rather eat out.

We have a great vacation in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, the hotel is nice, clean, all the attraction is nearby, easy access to everywhere, tuk-tuk and red car is a common transportation in Chiang Mai city, the people there are very polite and helpful. We have really enjoyed the market food, cheap and delicious, especially for the roast pork... yummy.. This is an Eco friendly hotel, breakfast is nice, the open air concept for the hotel except rooms. That is a great holiday we have...

A basic yet very fit for purpose accommodation. Room and bathroom clean, in good condition and an OK size for two adults. Hotel ideally located for old city, riverside and night market, each of which is 15 mins walk away (opposite directions to each other). Breakfast, wifi and ample free tea and coffee throughout the day a bonus.
