136 On Bealey Motel

There was not much to like about 136 on Bealey. Location was good being close to the city and parks, The room was quite large for a motel room. We ended up changing motels for our last night after 4 days of sleep deprivation from the constant beeping sound from the pedestrian crossing outside the room. I think this is the booking.com room. It seems motels are now punishing people who book online, We got told this was an upgrade room.. It wasnt

1. Don't Book Room 11 - The traffic light at the nearby crossing has a beeping signal that is very audible in the room 2. Road Noise is terrible 3. Rock Hard Bed 4. No Fan in bathroom or ventilation meant dampness (you could open the window, but it was broken and would not latch open) 5. The Buiding smelt like a chinese kitchen worse in reception 6. Very tired old motel in desperate need of a makeover

Perfect place to stay while a family member was in the hospital just across the road.

Room was spacious and provided exactly what I needed for a stay like this exceeded my expectations in a lot of regards. Good value for money.

Check in process was difficult. When I arrived there was a significant amount of torrential rain and downpours. By the time I got to the premises the reception was closed, the only means of communication that was provided was a New Zealand number with which I cannot call as I do not have the required SIM card. An email address or WhatsApp option would have been better. As a result I was left outside soaking wet for a considerable amount of time.
