Radisson Hotel Plovdiv

It was a short holiday stay. Hotel is about 15-20 minutes of walking distance to City center and old town. Breakfast is a bit on the poor side. Staff was very helpful and attentive. If I go to Plovdiv again I would stay at Hotel Imperial again

Despite the fact that when checking in power was off, everything else is good

Except for the slow service in the restaurant, due to a large party of tourists who arrived a few minutes before us, all our impressions were positive. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Our sixth-floor room was comfortable and quiet. The employees at reception were exceptionally helpful and courteous. Would like to give special thanks to the barman, Svetlyo, who was a fount of information about Plovdiv, cultural events in the city and elsewhere, and spoke excellent English. He was one of several hotel staff who made our stay a highly enjoyable one.

Rates were good, service quick, rooms nice and clean. Beds were not comfortable and water pressures were insufficient. Location was a little distant from main city attractions but still manageable.

Overall the hotel is okay, but not worth the cost. I have stayed at other hotels in small cities in Bulgaria for considerably less that were clearly 5-star in all aspects. Customer service at the front desk needs much improvement. The breakfast was nicely done with ample selections.

Hotel was outstanding value for the rate. Restaurant was good, but didn't serve typical Bulgarian cuisine. The hotel was located in a safe and quiet area of Plovdiv, but was not near any points of interest. For business travel, a very good option. For leisure travel, you'll need to take a taxi to the locations that you want to visit. Taxi rides are very inexpensive in the city. The rates are 0.45 Bulgarian lev per km.
