Hotel Garni Evido KG Salzburg

Do not stay at this hotel. The staff put in no effort towards the guests. It was very hot during our stay (no ac in room) and the fan was broken, replacement wasn't provided. The bed was broken down. We slid down into the headboard and towards the middle of the mattress as we slept. The entrance is gated and a key is needed to release the arm, so it takes multiple steps to get into the parking. Busy, noisy area. The breakfast room had boxes of facial tissue on the tables for napkins. Do not stay at this hotel!

Electric outlets not working, no air-conditioning, limited breakfast options. Good for one night.

We traveled as a family. The lock for the door to our room was broken. There was scaffolding that ran the entire length of the building right outside our window. Our room smelled like chemicals and the floor was sticky. We tried to see about changing rooms, but no one was there after we checked in that evening. We were supposed to stay 3 nights. We stayed one night and then checked out to go to another hotel down the street. We had to pay for the next two nights because it was not refundable. The “family room” was very small.

Stay away at all costs! Upon arriving at this hotel we were very skeptical and should have just left without checking in but decided to give it a try as we had already booked it for 4 nights. It was WAY too hot in the room with no AC and the windows barely opened a tiny crack. The sheets were like sandpaper. The mattresses super uncomfortable. The pillows like a sack of potatoes and the room was tiny. The breakfast buffet was pathetic with almost zero options and the staff overcharged me for taxes and parking based on what was listed on Expedia. We knew about 1 hour into our arrival that we would not be staying here if we could find ANY other options. Thankfully we found something MUCH better and for less money per night. Should have read the other reviews and stayed away. We’ll know better next time…

The location is convenient as close to main train station but the entrance is a bit hard to aware. The breakfast is ok. No air conditioner but there is an electric fan at the ceiling, so not very hot in the room.

Never even checked in. Drove up to property and couldn’t believe condition. No visible entrance. Found it through an alley and you could get into building with talking up someone on an intercom or something. Can’t speak for inside - but the location and condition were so deplorable we just walked away. booked somewhere else. Didn’t feel safe with family. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Perfect location to train station and if going on tours. Everything walkable. It’s situated next to a gas stratosphere locals tend to hang out all night. Noisy but I don’t mind noise.

Never come back here again. I have paid more than €200/night for a small room with beds, hot and no space for moving, placing the luggages. The bathroom is super super small. No basic amentities like water, refrigerator, ... In front of the hotel is a gabage station, smell very bad. When we arrive, no elevator to go to the hotel (located 1st floor)

Hotel was overall not a bad place to spend a couple days, but the area around it is questionable. We never felt unsafe, but it’s not the best area of Salzburg. Hotel breakfast was good, but seating was limited. In our room, one of the windows wouldn’t open, but thankfully there was a ceiling fan. Front desk workers/breakfast employees were very nice and helpful. The room was clean.

Location is close to main train station and to the city. Location of hotel is beside a gas station and not so clean surroundings. Breakfast is nice and staff are helpful and nice.
