Hotel Garni Evido KG Salzburg

This is a series of apartments which has been converted to a hotel. There is no elevator and no porters in the hotel to assist with the luggage. This is a bed and breakfast. This should be classified as a bed and breakfast.

Horrible

Convenient, about 5 minutes walk to Salzburg Hbf, Hotel is besides gas station and on second level, need to walk up the stairs. if luggage is not too heavy is alright after a few steps up is flat you can rest before continuing up.

The staff were very kind and allowed us to leave luggage after our check out time. The area is convenient and close to the train but is behind a gas station and not clean. The floors are a bit sticky and the windows do not have screens on them. We tried not to spend much time there.

This property is in a good location but with not having air conditioning and having to have the window open, it was noisy all night. It was small but clean. Unfortunately, I only found someone at the front desk once the whole 3 night we stayed. I would choose another place if I were to return to Salzburg.

Friendly welcome. Great room - all good

Centrally located with good communication to airport and short work to the old town. it filled the role of a low cost hotel, basic breakfast for a quick stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned late in the day and on our first day the floors were not swept or mopped. After letting reception know this was done for the rest of our trip. Over all it was good and for the price we paid it absolutely fine.

Male worker added extra "taxes" although when booking it confirmed all taxes were included. When asked to pay, i shown my card, he insisted we paid cash but we didnt have any so he spoke in german, probably annoyed because he couldnt fiddle the transaction. The room was a 3-bed (1 double & 1 single) leaving very little room for movement. Tue sheets and bedroom were clean hiwever we had to soak the shower head before use as it was disguisting. The room was very dusty, everytime i walked in the ro9m i had a nosebleed from the irritation. There was no way to change the temperature so the room was very hot all the time even with the window open. There was clumps of dust inder the bed and on the 2nd night we found silverfish pests - so glad it was our last night! You are given a hotel card for the main door, and a key for your hotel room although the cleaners have a master fob. We never left any valuables in the room whilst we were out. The petrol station outside was very intimidating to walk by especially when it came to night time, there seemed to be a lot of thug looking groups lurking around and watching you as you pass. I would not recommend staying here if you are having a city break.

Very annoyed would like to speak to hotels.com about this hotel. I have had extra charges to my credit card. Booked and told collect money at property, then they over charged and added on extra local taxes. They wanted me to pay again on arrival and showed them details. Then returned home and extra charge on card.
