Hotel Garni Evido KG Salzburg

We made a reservation for four people two nights through booking.com. We have chosen this hotel since it is disabled person accessible, we arrived but elevator did not work. One of us disabled, so him it is not possible to climb this high stairs. We agreed they will not charge from credit card, we left the hotel had to found another hotel in midnight which was more expensive. Big surprise for me two days later I have noticed they charged 440 euro from the credit which we gave for booking purposes. They have never replied emails or telephones. Booking.com says, they are sorry they can not help,. So the hotel is robber, this is a warning for you, hope you will read before go there. I did not read the comments before, good luck

This is the worst hotel that I ever stayed. We booked this hotel because of the false advertising on hotels.com. Hotels.com give me the special $59/night from the regular price $250 for the 3 star hotel. This is the real example of too good to be true. I took the bait. When we arrived the hotel. It's look like a ghetto, very bad neighborhood. There 's a banner in front of the hotel with the price $59/night. The building is behind a gas station and look like a Soviet block of flats. The hotel door locked. I rang the bell. I called the telephone. No one answered. I waited for 3 hours. No one came and no sign of any thing that the hotel is operated. I went around and asked the neighboring business like cafe, restaurant people next to the hotel. They all shake their heads and have no idea. I came inside the gas station and asked for information. The cashier helped me to call someone and the hotel front door open. There 's a sign that the reception is on the second floor and a dirty staircase leading to it. There's no elevator. The facility is worse than the backpacker hostel. After a long and dark hallway with no window, We reached the reception but there's no one there. No staff, no hotel guest, no one, no human being and it seems like there's no living there. I have contacted hotels.com but there's no response. We don't know what to do and decided to go to the cafe and waited for a few more hour. At 18:00, there's a man came and he opened the door and then we can checked in. The room is very noisy, smelly and dirty.

Police, on escorting us from hotel, said, "This hotel is open illegally and of a high danger to your health and wellbeing". Outside of COVID-19 this hotel, whilst simple and basic, would offer a convenient place to stay for a couple of days spent seeing Salzburg. However, during COVID-19 they were open and accepting bookings on Hotels[dot]com. A friend and I booked to stay for two nights whilst we had to wait for onward flights. Before we could stay the second night the Police arrived and removed the few of us staying as the hotel was open illegally during the situation. We tried to get a refund for the unused second night but told to contact Hotels[dot]com. On contacting Hotels[dot]com Hotel Garni Evido told them that we stayed 2 x nights and that we were the dishonest ones claiming that the Police had escorted us from the hotel to a reputable one for our 2nd night. This night was also booked via Hotels[dot]com but still they believed Hotel Garni Evido that we had stayed with them. Booked same night with two different hotels and stayed in both? As for Hotels[dot]com one would think that a company of that size would have the simple due diligence in place to check in a situation like this what hotels are allowed to be open so as to protect their customers and themselves from situations like this. Do they profit from other illegally open properties? So, stay away from both Hotel Garni Evido and Hotels[dot]com as it seems from our experience that both are only interested in getting your money into their pockets and not your safety, your health and doing the right thing by people.

We are a family of four visiting salzburg. We got quad room at Hotel Evido for a 2 night stay. The only positive thing about the hotel is its location. It located walking distance to the Haupbanhof. There is a bus top nearby with busses to old city and other tourist places. There are also many affordable restaurants near the hotel. The first thing that greets you when you reach the hotel is s garbage dumping area. Then u have to carry up your luggage thro a few flight of stairs before reaching the reception. There is no lobby. Jus a small counter that manages everything. The room is tight n small with 2 double beds. The toilet is also small. It is not well maintained. Very spartan. Breakfast is standard continental breakfast w hard boil eggs only. No other eggs option available. Food selection was small. Eating area was small and dinghy. Staff was polite but cannot accommodate any request. All in all, consider other hotels first before considering this one.

If going to Salzburg please read reviews of these 2 hotels, and avoid. Evido Salzburg City Center Hotel Restaurant Itzlinger Hof Salzburg I went to the Evido for 3 nights in a wheelchair, and the lift was not working. I was transferred to Itzlinger Hof and this was not accessible. They had taken my payment of €300 before I arrived and would not give me a refund, they won't reply to emails and hang up when I phone. Be warned they will rob you.

Waited for an hour in the middle of the night near the entrance They didn't answer the phone or the door bell Had to find another hotel in the middle of the night Wouldn't go there for free STAY AWAY OF THIS PLACE

Pretty good location right next to the train station. About a 20-25 minute walk to old town. Room was small but OK.Breakfast was the usual in europe, no hot food except for boiled eggs. No A/C but we had a fan. Right for the price.

It's old hotel. No elevator, hard to find, and bathroom door cannot be closed completely. Though meal is not bad and room is large, I'm recommend this hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights in July with my friends, this hotel is a cheater , I booked this hotel in April , they charged my credit card for 408 euros on 5th April 2019 for my stay in July , I stayed ther for two nights . I.e. 9-11 July , after two months of my stay again they charged my credit card for 408 euros on 6th September 2019 , double payment for single stay , I m doin follow with the hotel regarding this but there is nil response from this hotel , totally fraud

This hotel is very close to the main line station and other attractions.Nice and clean room. Frindly and helpful staffs. Daniya ( staff in the morning shift ) got very good customer service skill. She was always smiling. Not too much varieties in breakfast but it was good.
