Stayed for one night. The hotel is in a wonderful area very peaceful. We stay in the Rock room which was very clean and comfortable. Great selection on the breakfast menu all freshly cooked . The staff were lovely very helpful.

This is a gorgeous, 300 year old property situated out in the Cornish countryside between Bodmin and Port Isaac. The buildings and grounds are absolutely stunning, with gorgeous gardens in front and back. The various rooms to let are so beautiful. It is quaint and so very comfortable. The evening meals in the dining room are expertly prepared and served in such an exquisite manner in true English/Cornish fashion. The breakfasts offered in the beautifully appointed sunroom are also amazing. This is not an establishment for the young partying crowd, rather for those who are seeking a peaceful, beautiful retreat with exquisitely prepared food and drink, and a very comfortable place to sleep and unwind.
Booked a one night stop over on route from our holiday in Scilly Isles. Lovely building inside and out, didnt hear any road noise in our bedroom, although our bed was a bit squeaky. Every time one of us moved we woke the other one up. Enjoyed our meal in the hotel restaurant, it was a nice end to a lovely week away
A very nice place to stay. Rooms aren't big but comfortable and good value, with friendly staff.
The room (Lostwithiel) was the one I booked but hadn’t realised that it was not located in the main house. As it happens it was ideal for our purposes as we were cycling and walking. The room did smell a little musty and the heating was not working on our arrival but this was soon sorted. You can hear the traffic especially if you want to open a window. Agree with a previous comment the decor is feeling a little tired but all was clean. Had a very good meal in the restaurant the first evening and breakfasts were amazing. Staff were excellent.

The hotel is a lovely set of buildings set in the countryside not far from Bodmin. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very large with its own (large) en-suite. They do have a pool we noticed but we did not use this. The food was good both for breakfast and evening meals and it was nice to sit outside in the gardens with a drink or two. The only criticism would be that the room we were in did have a moist air to it, so we would have to open the windows on occasion and being that you are next to a busy road this can disturb those who are light sleepers.
