Made to feel very welcome by the owner Antonio who was very helpful.Shared kitchen and bathroom, but the way it's laid out made it feel like we had the run of the whole place.Definately not a modern penthouse, but we loved its antique charm.Very clean with nice covered smoking area on lower floor.

"Family Guest House, Very Friendly Owner"

8.0

I stayed at this Guest House during the First Week of October 2015 & after landing at Lisbon Airport Called to Confirm I would be with them soon. The owner Antonio answered my call & seemed genuinely pleased to hear from me, he told me not to rush & reminded me the easiest way to find the place. Getting there is easy, get the Red line from the Airport & change after eight or nine stops at Alameda for the Green line in the Direction of Cais Do Sodre. Get off at Intendente Station & follow the signs for Exit ( Saida ) Rua Andrade which is the first right turn after you Exit, take the first Left into Rua Palmira & number 44 is about 50 Yards along on the Right. The Owner greeted me & before I had even Checked in made me feel Very Welcome with lots of Useful Information, showing me around the Premises & providing a Lisbon Map & Via Viagem Card for Travel on the Transport system. The Room was Quaint, Filled with Lovely Period Furniture, Fantastic Double Bed & a Large Powerful Fan which was certainly a Plus. The Only Down side was that at night there tends to be a lot of Noise from People Playing Loud Music & Shouting on Rua Palmira ( although I still Managed to Sleep Okay ). Overall though this is a Place with Old Original Lisbon Character & a Very Friendly Host who Really helps you Settle in & Relax, I Will Definitely Come Back again when I Hopefully Return to Lisbon.

"Good for low budget"

4.0

Noisy street (at least for the first night). Second day of my stay - I can accept that the bed was not made (I could make it myself), but nobody cared to empty the garbage bin. Buffet breakfast? Which buffet?! Leftovers from other previous travellers that anybody could help himself/herself from the fridge. Wi-fi in the room very slow. For $30/night - acceptable. Owner (Antonio) and Sabina - very helpful and accommodating.

"Friendly and helpfull"

8.0

We had to stay one night in Lisbon and chose this B&B. Very happy about it ,the owner took time to explain how to use the metro called taxi and gave us short lecture about the economy in Portugal and other European countries . The furniture is somthing else and Anthony was praud of it. I would definitely recommend it .

"Great host and a good hotel overall!"

8.0

Central location but not the best of areas at night, the hotel will not be to everyone's taste as it's old, very hard to find and has no lift for the 5 levels it's got (it was a bit of a pain for us with absolutely dead feet after a full day of walking through Lisbon). On the upside, we loved the host - he was so warm and welcoming that one would just not believe people like that are still around. He was very proactive and quickly set up some tour routes for us and provided maps and notes for Lisbon, Sintra and other worthwhile attractions en route to Porto. He was even ready to drive us around Lisbon if we got tired of walking - we did not want to bother him with this at the end but his attitude just had that something special. There a plenty of cooking/seating down facilities with kitchens and outside terraces available to enjoy some snacks and wine in the evening if you do not fancy clubbing all night long Very well recommended, a great experience but, perhaps, not to everyone's taste!
