Great location

The room smelt quite bad, especially the bathroom, and was full of marks in the toilet, which clearly wasn't cleaned.Marks on bed!! Also, the elevator was a struggle. Took me ages to get down, and buttons stopped working. I couldn't move anywhere for about 5 minutes. Multiple guests complained to staff about their rooms.

Room was to small, dust and cobwebs . Shower head and holder rusty. When i wanted to leave my room card cos i was meeting friends for tea, the man on the desk wasnt intrested in taking it.

If you like old world charm, you will like this impressive hotel. Set in an ideal location for picturesque views over Scarborough promenade and the surrounding countryside. Set up on the cliff it is quite a steep, but manageable walk through the gardens opposite the hotel to the beach. In the evening all the most lively bars are just there nearby along with late night eateries.

I booked this hotel because it indicates that it has parking. When you're touring on a motorbike, secure parking is recommended. IT DOES NOT HAVE PARKING. On checking in I asked where the entrance to the carpark was and was told that it didn't have one! The receptionist then rather bluntly told me I could park my motorbike round the corner outside The Grand Hotel as there was free parking outside that hotel. If I had known that I would have just booked to stay the night in that hotel. A hotel that was £20 a night cheaper as well, just to rub it in.

I came with my 5 year old son and we was on the 5th floor room. The room was very very hot and they moved to the 1st floor
