Royal Hotel

We are at a loss why people poorly rate this hotel...lovely room , plenty of room , comfortable , good facilities ie restaurant and spa etc. Very friendly and helpful staff . Superb location to explore Scarbados from....plus the Turkish restaurant around the corner( Askims) was outstanding. The hotel had had 4 coach parties arrive so we opted to go out... otherwise we'd have stayed in as I'm a coeliac and the hotel offered several good GF choices.

The location is great and the bed is comfy.

The room was filthy. The bathroom especially. The room hadn’t been hoovered and there were rubbish and dust at the side of the desk area that has been there a very long time. There are thick cobwebs on the ceiling. Very tired rooms.

The staff were friendly and helpful, explained everything in detail, excellent sized room and the view was beautiful

The room was absolutely boiling, could do with fans been equipped or ac adding to the property The beds could also do with upgrading and they are very uncomfortable

Centrally situated , overlooking the sea close to everything , Stunning reception area and Ladies rest room was absolutely gorgeous. Staff were professional and helpful, especially Edith , the Lady bartender on late shift in the evenings in the entertainment lounge, she was rushed off her feet but would help with any request that arose. 10/10 for the Lovely Lady.

Our old room was a little dated , but hey! So is the building , breakfast price was more expensive on Monday than Sunday for some reason , and no milk provided with the tea/coffee facilities. Attention to these small details would make it worth going back.
