Hampton Inn & Suites Childress

Very run down hotel. Exterior landscaping overgrown and grass areas overgrown with stickers!! Pets wouldn’t even go in grass….Towels worn out. Very noisy- ie no insulation in ceiling for upstairs noise. Wi-Fi bad. Lady managing kitchen at breakfast was nice. Area appeared clean. While hotel states dog friendly , there is extra cost of $50 per pet. REALLY????

Nice big room, liked the different areas to the room. Nice and clean and great bed! Very quiet considering we were near a Pilot Gas store…didn’t hear a thing. Only negative, need fuller pillows!

Next to Walmart

This hotel needs to be removed from the Hilton franchise. From the overgrown landscape , trash all around the property, dirty halls, worn out rooms and a truck stop on the property, stay away. The room we stayed in (and only because we had been traveling all day) was dirty, furniture worn out, and soiled bed linens…the saving grace, Walmart is close, we purchased blanket and sheets, stripping off the dirty linens provided. As we tried sleeping to the noise of the rattling AC unit, and the rumbling of the 18-wheelers in the parking lot, morning could not have come quick enough.

Room 105 king bed was uncomfortable and made noises every time you move. Hotel was very noisy with guests slamming doors at 4:30am. Staff were nice and hotel was clean. But bed made this hotel be on our “will not visit again” list

The TV was not working and the young lady at the front desk had to come up and work about ten minutes jiggling wires and pushing buttons to make it receive a signal. The refrigerator door would not catch to close, so water was running out of the front of the furniture cabinet. The facility is showing signs of aging.
