The Lodge at Kiln Creek Resort

Staff very friendly , cleanliness of room was excellent and the convenientance of having a restaurant in the hotel .

Friendly and responsive staff. Wonderful restaurant on site. However the event space is just across the hall from some of the rooms - can get noisy. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay and would return. The golf course is both lovely and challenging.

The accommodations were very nice. We would highly recommend The Lodge.

This really isn’t a hotel. There is no front desk, room service, etc. Also, if your on the 2nd floor, there is no elevator.

Absolutely wonderful stay... I didn't want to leave! Restaurant was great, pool was clean and relaxing, room was just as pictured. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved looking out over the golf course in the morning. Excellent laid back quiet space. The mobile key allows for easy check in. Definitely returning soon

My stay went relatively well. Loved the convenience to Newport News Airport. The only complaints I had are 1) the hotel requires the room key cards to returned (if not returned, then guests are charged $50). Get with the 21st Century! Most hotels deactivate key cards or throw them away once guests checkout. I found this system utterly ridiculous. I had a 5:52 AM flight, so this required me to turn the key card in before heading to the airport. 2) There was not a hotel bar or restaurant. To be fair, the restaurant was under renovation, but a bar would have been nice. 3) The WiFi was awful!

The room is nice and modern, but is small. Sliding glass door to outer patio would not open. Room became very humid after each shower. Beds small. Still probably one of the nicer hotels around, right on a golf course. We had players looking right into our room.
