Homewood Suites by Hilton Hanover Arundel Mills

Stayed here before and it’s an alright spot. The real reason I ding them in my rating is they charge for parking… what hotel charges for self parking that isn’t located downtown of a major city? Oh well, this will be my last time at this property, there are many other locations close to this one, and I plan on giving them a try before I’d return here. ($10 a night for parking, no valet, in case anyone was curious)

Beautiful, huge room.

Property was very clean and staff was very pleasant and helpful

- Called the hotel at 10am on 4/12 to ask how early our room would be ready and she told me that it should be done within an hour. I came to the hotel at 4pm and the room was not ready and wouldn’t end up being ready until 4:30. - There was no remote or lamp / ceiling light in the living room; called to request a lamp and remote and lamp were provided promptly. - Pull out couch was not clean; called front desk at 12am to let them know that it had food crumbs, broken crayons, a bottle cap, and unknown particles on it. The call was received, problem was explained, and the response from a female hotel attendant was short, “what’s your room number?” [I responded with room 233], and then she ended the call. I called back five times within an hour and no one answered the call nor returned a phone call or have someone come to our room for servicing the problem with the pullout couch not being clean. - It was extremely frustrating to not get multiple calls answered or returned after explaining to the front desk attendant that we had a pullout couch that was dirty and need sheets, blankets, and pillows because there wasn’t any stocked in the hotel room.

They remodeled, which is nice. Finally, there is light in the shower, but somehow the water pressure is even lower; it takes forever to rinse off and since the cheap out without a hand held it takes some effort to even get wet with the extremely low water pressure. I expect in the future a couple of spray bottles of water will ultimately be what they want you to use for a shower. Somehow due to weather keys weren't issued. The manager had to meet us at our room, then explained we had to down load their app and use their digital key. The most annoying part is the HVAC. With the new controller you cannot keep the fan continuously on. This means the HVAC kicks on and off all night long and since it's annoyingly loud you get the joy of being woken up several times throughout the night, as it goes from silent to extremly loud to silent again.

I had a wonderful time there will definitely be back. Clean nice workers.
