Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa

I liked the ambience; it was relaxing to be in such a place. Loved the shop attendant, she had a bubbly personality and so welcoming.

Some of the waitstaff were dismissive. One waiter, Edward, was short with us but noticeably more attentive and patient with other patrons, taking his time with their orders. It felt as though our questions about the menu were an inconvenience. Overall, most waitresses provided poor service to our table.

This is a busy lovely hotel by the large Chobe River, with most rooms having water views. The architecture is unique blend of modern and traditional design. The buildings are up to 2 storeys high and there is no lift. Plenty of stairs and walkways at different levels. The restaurants and activities are at lobby area and hence you probably will have some walking to get there. You may want to request a room near to facilities if you want to minimise walking. Also as the national wildlife park is nearby in unfenced territory, you'll find antelopes, warthog and others wandering or grazing in the lawns. Keep a look out especially if you are on the ground floor. The food is excellent with buffet menu and great variety. Service is good and thankfully all rooms have wifi access. They provide land and water safari tours locally and these are excellent. It is generally a quiet environment except for river traffic.

We had a great time in Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa. This hotel is located directly near the river Chobe and offers boot trips directly from the hotel. Very nice place with wonderful sunsets. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The personal very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner is buffet, very good and many different things to choose. They have different terraces to take the food, wonderful garden and trees. A nice swimming pool is also available. We will recommend this hotel 100 % for a stay in Chobe.
