Pousada Palácio de Estói - Small Luxury Hotels

The pousada is a beautiful space. Wonderful service and kind service. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well appointed. Indoor pool was great for the kids. Didn’t get a chance to use the outdoor pool because it was March and weather was still cool. 5 out of 5 experience.

Wonderful hotel in a palace, with majestic feel. Truly a palace. Large guest rooms with elegant decor. Restaurant was surprisingly excellent. Tight roads driving into this old-world treat. Off the beaten path, so maybe not the right choice for travellers in a hurry.

Beautiful property. Extensive breakfast; should be something for everyone. Well maintained. The indoor casual (non-dining) areas are part of the original palace and you can roam around freely and sit while enjoying the space. The hotel rooms are modern, well equipped and very spacious - they have a closed off balcony. There is no access to the outdoor gardens from the room. The gardens directly in the front of the palace and around the columns are accessible. There is no access to what looks like an Orangery and the areas where the very large fountain(?) is located. The gate to the garden is also locked so access is through the hotel. We went in Feb so did you use the outdoor pool. The indoor pool is nice, the steam room takes about 10 mins to get going and the sauna takes 1 hour to reach maximum heat. You let them know at the spa and they turn them on. Parking was included and easy to access from rooms. Stayed for 2 nights and we really enjoyed our time there. Peaceful. Would have loved to be able to wander to the other section over the walkway as we love green spaces.

Superb hôtel with historic garden and salon. Outstanding quality of service. Special mention for Ms. Vittoria. It’s a no brainer for those seeking a quiet environment in an exclusive setting. It was a first stay and we will keep fond memories.

This is a lovely historic building with gorgeous and unique public rooms and gardens, an outdoor and an indoor pool, gym, two outdoor decks, one around the pool and another above it, all with great views. There are loads of places to sit inside and outside to appreciate the gardens and the interior. The village of Estoi is also lovely in itself with some great buildings, squares, cafes and supermarkets. It’s an easy drive to many towns in the area. The hotel staff were great. All very friendly and efficient. The only thing that was a bit of a letdown was the décor in the rooms. They are very comfortable, well appointed rooms but lacking character compared to many other pousadas. Some changes to the soft furnishings would make a huge difference. A great stay.

Great hotel away from busy city! Staff were kind and attentive. Breakfast was amazing and dinner menu was very good! They just need a bigger pool!

The staff are not friendly or helpful

It was amazing to arrive at this pink rococo palace in a small quiet village away from the busy Algarve places on the coast. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. especially the lady-in-charge of the restaurant. We liked the transition from the old part of the hotel to the new wing where our room was, with all the modern art on the wall. In all it was a great 3-night stay, maybe a small sign, indicating at the garden gate that there is no entrance to the palace from the garden, would have been helpful.....

Love, love, loved our stay here what a hotel. Beautiful palace with sympathetically added bedrooms. Spacious, luxurious rooms, again with fantastic views. Wonderful views for the pool and bar area-stunning.Do wander into the town and around the beautiful gardens. Friendly, helpful staff-booked us a taxi for early airport run, with a breakfast bag. Even went to the trouble of prepping us coffees at 5am. We felt thoroughly spoilt.
