Fabulous - make sure to book restaurant in time - breakfast superb

The good: beautiful building, great rooms — spacious and clean, incredibly comfy bed, and wonderful big bathroom with great shower. The modern part of the building has a great vibe with lots of art and low level lighting and amazing fragrant air conditioning! We were here in September’24 and loved it, so we returned but were unfortunately disappointed by what seemed to be rampant cost cutting since our last visit. We immediately noticed the very limited number of staff and any management was invisible, so service was lacking, especially by the pool. The menu at the pool cafe has changed and the food is very basic; the cafe is only open 12 to 5. A few of the Parasols by pool were tatty and broken, need to be replaced. Room service now incurs a £15 delivery fee and our trays (& others we noticed) were not collected & were left in the corridor overnight. Gratuity /toiletries in bathroom are no more? Only on first night of 7. Rough paper towels in the bathrooms instead of tissues. No movies available on movie channel etc. Conclusion: This place could so easily be AMAZING, it simply needs a good manager and a refocus on service! Currently the place is gripped by malaise. Shame.

Lovely place, lots of history blending with modern. Rooms are top-notch! Great Bathroom with marble. Friendly staff! Would come back for sure. Pool is excellent, a constant breeze makes life a pleasure. Breakfast includes lots of excellent choices!

Inez was absolutely wonderful. Her pressure was perfect and she took time to alleviate tension throughout my back. She was very sensitive to knots and provided a calming presence. The products she used were soothing and helped to alleviate pain.

Enjoyed our weekend stay, on which the hotel served as the venue for a dream wedding. Friendly and unimposing staff in reception, service and spa. Ines in the spa especially is very kind and her massages are recommended. We hope for the opportunity to stay at the hotel again, and explore more of the Algarves sunny beaches, dreamy coastal towns and green hills. 10/10 we are sad to leave.

Beautiful location where luxury, legacy and hospitality meet! Great breakfast and wonderful massage by Inês! The gardens take you back to another time. The service of the staff is great and we had a good dinner outside with views over the surrounding area.

Property was beautiful inside and out. One of the most unique hotels we have ever stayed in. Food was very good and breakfast was spectacular.

The Hotel, the facilities, the rooms, breakfast and the environment were very special. The building is an old piece that was redecorated and redesigned in a high level way. The hotel is located in a beautiful garden and the team was great!!!

Amazing time. Sidney was fantastic- lots of great ideas of where to go and fun chats at meals. Our breakfasts were bountiful and kept us going until dinner. Relaxing dinners helped us unwind from our day of seeing the sites of the Algarve. We enjoyed sitting outside and walking the gardens. Our room was spacious and quiet and provided a great respite.

Beautiful hotel with amazing details and ambiance. Gorgeous garden in the back for pictures. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. The view from the balcony was great. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The location was close enough to Faro for us to visit and explore
