Inês was so very sweet and very good at what she does. I had a leg massage on one day and I booked another for a shoulder and back massage. Both of the sessions were very relaxing, the atmosphere, the pressure was just right. After, she even pointed out what areas I had the most tension and to take care of. Absolutely wonderful experience!

The hotel was just lovely as were all the staff from reception to pool to the restaurant. Views from the restaurant were stunning. A very relaxing and peaceful holiday. We stayed a whole week and wished we had longer. We recommend this beautiful palace for a truly special stay. We'll be back soon. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay special from sparkling wine in the room to the daily chocolate or mint on our pillow.

Firstly, this hotel is absolutely to be recommended. I have read some reviews that seem, in my opinion, to be a bit harsh especially when it comes to the 'is it really 5 stars?' question. I stayed for 4 nights recently with my wife and we have a fabulous time. It was a last minute 'package' booking and we were looking for somewhere peaceful and comfortable to enjoy the last of this year's sun. The staff were all friendly, attentive and informative. The facilities are unique and a bit quirky but we were very satisfied. The pool was quiet with plenty of beds and towels. We were ungraded to a superior room on arrival which was spacious, modern and well appointed with a good sized, secluded balcony. The food was excellent especially the breakfast which was well presented and plentiful in choice. So, is it worthy of 5 stars? Well, this is not the Four Seasons or the Mandarin Oriental but nor is it priced as such. With a room rate of well under 200€ a night inc breakfast, you are going to find some differences between this and high-end luxury hotels but we were very happy and had no complaints so will likely be back. Oh...and the air-con worked perfectly.

Wonderful stay at the gorgeous former Palace. The bedrooms were quiet and spacious, the rooms in the Palace areas are so stunning and beautiful that it was a real treat. Delicious breakfast with beautiful views in their garden and lovely kittens purring around. The pool area is great for relaxing, with gym, indoor pool, outdoor pool and sauna. It was a great relaxing break before catching a flight from faro - which is only 15 min drive away.

We are so glad we chose to stay here. We were debating between this and a larger hotel (chain). So happy we stayed here!. The palace is beautifully restored, the rooms had everything we needed (we were upgraded to a Suite) and more and the breakfast was amazing. We also received a welcome basket and several gifts during our 5 day stay. The pool was well maintained and relaxing. Thank you!

Inês was fantastic! She was so kind and thoughtful! I had a massage scheduled the morning of my wedding… it was such a relaxing experience and a great massage that started my day wonderfully!

Lovely peaceful relaxing hotel. Staff were very accommodating. Avina looked after us exceptionally couldn’t do enough for us. Credit to your hotel. Would recommend this place lovely little shops near by zero noise pollution
