Ambassador Hotel Thessaloniki

The bathroom does not have a bathtub or shower stall. The water falls all over the tiles, and could not walk safely because of this. The online site did not allow me to enter 2 adults, kept bouncing back to 1, so when I checked in I was charges 15 euros more. Never received a receipt for this. Would not return.

Very nice hotel, only issue with it was the beds are really firm and I am a person who likes firm mattresses. Also the sheets felt like they were made of plastic, not soft at all and actually made a ton of noise when moving them. 10min from the airport which is great

Family bungalows had living room with sofa bed and separate bedroom.

We only stayed one night on our way to Halkidiki. We chose the hotel as easy to access a short distance from the airport. We arrived very late as our flight was delayed . The bar was closed but the gentleman on reception arranged for the night porter to get my wife and me some large beers. Very friendly service!

Nice rooms with a view and very reasonably priced. Staff goes out of their way to meet your needs. Asked for a wake up call at 0545 and a cab at 0600 and they were both on time.

This stay was a quick stop-over. It was very close to the airport and well-priced. However, there is room for improvement when it comes to room comfort. Although our room did not smell like smoke, the hallways did, the beds were a bit too hard and the shower wouldn't work unless you held onto the button allowing water to flow up to the shower head the entire time. Other than that, the WiFi was good and the guys behind the desk were nice and arranged a taxi on time. Simply updating the rooms a bit would greatly improve this rating

We were relocated here from another Hotel so we were more than pleased, it is a bit remote but the buses were easy to figure out and the reception staff gave us brilliant instructions, all good!

We had been working in Macedonia and had an early morning flight out of Thessaloniki so we stayed at the Ambassador for one night due to it's closeness to the airport. In the morning the the front desk called a taxi for us and about 5 minutes later we were on our way to the airport (cost about 18 euros). There is nothing worth walking to within walking distance and it's not a great road for walking on anyway, so you will need a car, taxi or use the bus for any exploring. The room was a good size based on European standards and all the furniture was in very good condition. The double bed was the usual European style of two singles pushed together and was rather on the hard side. The pool is beautiful but not heated in the cool months. The lobby and restaurant were very nice. The breakfast buffet was a very good deal (included in my room price) with a wide variety of hot and cold meats, an egg dish, four types of cold fruit, two juice choices, pastries, cheeses, fruit, yogurt and all the American style coffee you can drink. Lastly, the hotel is up on a hill with great views of the city and the sea beyond. A great place for sunsets and moon rises!

I arrived at 10:30 pm and the hotel was staffed and ready for me. My room was great except for the carpet looking and feeling old and dirty. When I left the next morning I saw the room next to me had wooden looking floors which seemed much nicer - I think they are renovating gradually. The desk clerk ordered me a taxi the next morning to return to the airport. The free breakfast was nice. For an overnight room between flights, this was great and the price very reasonsble.

Amazing bartenders! Brought us out complimentary appetizers all night long! So, so friendly.
