I've been before and it's a beautiful hotel

Unfortunately I was there on a busy weekend. I had a sea view room but there were chairs on the lawn and people could see up into my room so I couldn't sit and take advantage of the view. There was a singer right below my window which I found to be quite loud. I was just hoping for a nice relaxed night away like last time but I struggled even to find a seat outside. I didn't end up staying the night and drove back home

From the moment you arrive you cannot fail to be impressed by the quality of the place. The grounds and the overall building have been impeccably maintained. Our room was a good size, clean and comfortable. A couple of very nice touches were the bowl of fruit and some chocolates on our arrival. Breakfast was excellent with a great range of choices. On one morning my wife had an omelette and hasn't stopped talking about it since. We had dinner there twice. Once in the brasserie and once in the main restaurant. Both had very good vegetarian options and the food was very tasty. The main restaurant in particular was a great overall experience. As important as the quality of the facilities and the quality of the food was the quality of all the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. Management and the owners should be complimented on instilling such a positive culture among their staff.

Bath robes could be a bit more generously sized. The gym was ok but rather small; I accept there's probably not much that can be done about that. It might have been nice if the outside pool could open before 9am.

Bedroom was very small and bathroom tiny with shower over the bath. We didn’t expect that given how much we paid.
